Forgotten Ebay Password
 

I have lost my ever lovin mind!
After jumping thru all the hoops, got back on Ebay,sold all thru Xmas,got Paypal debit card etc.....I took a break in Jan.
While doing taxes, I purged all paper records.
Now I cannot remember my Ebay password-the bogus info used to reg w/Ebay was purged paper wise and mentally evidently.
Is this account a lost cause now or is there a hack I can use?

don't you know the email address that is registered with that ebay account? you can request your password.

hi-if you've got the dob+ phone number-live chat will reset it to like ebay123 for u..

Been there. Done that. Since then I print out all the bogus account information :D

Here is what I do:

I have this 256 MB CF card, CompactFlash - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I store all the information there, including IP addresses I have ever used with every eBay account.


These cards last forever, and are very compact.


You create a directory structure on it.

Accounts\
Accounts\VeRO Seller\
Accounts\VeRO Seller\Selling Account Name\

and under that make some files.

such as selling account name.txt there you store all the information.

Then also SIMON_GiftAccount_01.txt for simion specific info.

IP LOG.txt for all the IP addresses you ever used with it.

etc, etc, etc..



Neat thing about it is that in case of FBI raid you can swallow it.

Yea-Lesson learned! The email address I used was one I paid for from the guy that sells one of those "Get Back on Ebay" e-books, it was a "permablock.org address and it expired April 1st. The ebook was decent but the email I hated and they NEVER answer questions when there was a problem.
So even if I could remember the account specifics to live chat for a new password, it would be sent out to the ozones.
