Merchant Account Vs Paypal

Question-

I have never done this before, but if I get a merchant account...authorize.net and do not accept Paypal, does Ebay let you list more without interruption/limitations, or is it the same?

In general I would think it`s the same EXCEPT for other factors: longetivity of account, ID verified, etc.
