Combining 2 accounts with unpaid item strikes

Does anyone know what would happen if I combined two eBay accounts, that both have unpaid item strikes on them? Could it result in a suspension?

You can combine two accounts into one (merge feedback)

Neither account is banned, they just have 2 or 3 unpaid item strikes (I'm guessing from over the years). I thought it was too risky, but wondered if anyone had done it before.
