computer switching
 

well i am looking to change over from my old computer to my new one. will i be able to log on just fine or will i have to supply info and risk my accounts? IP address will be the exact same but it will no longer have cookies or anything being it is a new computer.

Should be fine.

The worst that could happen is they will ask the answer for the security questions you started your ebay up with.

anyone else have any input on this? i would like to get some opinions on wether it is safe or not. this is a pretty big deal to me. i appreciate all of the replies.

I started using a new laptop about two weeks ago. No issues on 16 accounts (which vary from a month old to over 2 years).

Just log in to each account initially and then log straight back out. This gets the cookies etc on to each windows user account.

Just don't attempt any high risk activity on your first log in eg withdrawing $$$$$s and you'll be fine.

I switch computer all the time. You should be fine as long as the Ip is the same.

You also need to browse around and make some small purchases (or you should) to establish activity on the computer. What's folx opinions on pp from old comp to new one? Same?

When I switched to a new laptop I was not asked any questions.

Many have posted here they were asked security questions.

Be prepared if you do not transfer cookies etc over.
