Name on CC sign up page?
 

Will it work if I use a different name than is on the card??

It worked on one of my previous accts, was my own card(my name) but i used a different name and it still went through with out a hitch, but now im setting up this new acct and dont want to screw it up if anyone knows any different.

Depends on where you are. If you're in the US or Canada, where eBay does AVS checks, it may not work. Anywhere else you're okay :)

Most of the time yes it'll work. If not use a variation of your name.

Two of my accounts now have a two different names then what is on the credit card. One account is even under a males name and I used my real cc card on it.

Like said before, it might or might not work, depends on the moon cycles. I used my friend's card to pay for things on paypal. It had my name on it, but his card and address. (because they wouldn't let me use his name) And it worked, I could use his card to buy things for him, it went to his address on my name.


But I think you are making a fundamental mistake. It appears that you want to use your own card to setup an account.


It's a bad idea. Because chances of you getting suspended are high, especially at the beginning now, when you are just experimenting. Thus it could mean that you could be charged eBay fees on your real card, even if they suspend you.


I suggest you avoid this headache and use a gift card instead. Then in case they suspend you, channel money out of your card asap.
