Default Have been below standard performance since 4-5 months ago

So I have had below standard rating for DSR performance since 4-5 months ago due to shipping time. This month, though, I am back to Above standard rating. The thing is, it will be only this month. Next month's rating will go back to below standard.

I am using this ebay ID only to build up a backup ID in case my main ID goes down.

My question is this: What happens if I stop selling with this ebay ID for several months? The rating stops too? Or do they still keep rating me every month?

Also, if ebay has a policy such as "if you are below standard for x amount of consecutive months, you are out", then what if I don't sell for the next several months? How would they count that?

If you sell more than 200 transaction each month then Ebay will calculate the last 3 months of your DSR rating. But if you sell less than 200 each month then it will calculate your DSR base on 1 year. So if you are not selling anything and want to go back to Above Performance then you will need to wait 1 year for your 1 or 2 DSR to clear.

yeah I don;t mind waiting a year for it. It's just that, if I don't sell for a year or so, wouldn't ebay still keep rating me every month, and suspend me for keeping low performance? Or will they pause the process while I am not selling?

Ebay will keep rating you but I do not think they will suspend you. The low DSR will clear after one year. I do have an account that has low performance and I stop selling for couple months. The low DSR clear after a year and now that account is top rated. However, I just lost the TRS because I stop selling and does not meet the requirement for a PS. I hope I answered your questions.

Why not sell some dollar store items to bring your dsr score back to above standard. It is worth it even if you lose a couple of dollars.
