usps shipping to russia
 

i sent a package to russia via usps priority international it was a 300 dollar item .

the last time i tried sending a package overseas the guy claimed he never got it so i stopped sending overseas for a while but that package was sent via first class so i figure it might have gotten lost.

my question is can i track the package on the russian ems site with the customs tracking number on the receipt? or will it show up on the usps tracking?

So in this jumble post that is difficult to read you are asking if it is possible to check the tracking on the russian ems site?


Sure it's possible if you can read the Cyrillic alphabet. Will the info be there? From past efforts, I would doubt it. They are super super slow to update info.

How far have you managed to track the item to this point? What does it say using US database?

on the usps site it just says dispatched to sort facility since the 17th

Delivery may take as long as 8 weeks.

Depends on situation within Russian customs & their postal service.

truly dont expect any updates for some days.

Contact your buyer and ensure he know of this. Do it thro' ebay messages.

Dont sit back & think it will be OK. Keep at the buyer. Say in 5 more days, he could try the Russian EMS site for you.

Watch the time frame in case of running the risk of INR charges.:juggle:
