Hi, Newbie just got 7 day selling ban, some questions???
 

Hi all. New here, been a seller for 5-6 yrs, mainly trouble free until today!! Been restricted for 7 days, no selling allowed! Sold a product similar to that by a co called JML, I did not advertise it as a JML product, or use JML as a comparator, or mention JML anywhere! They are saying its a counterfeit item, they have said go to there about me page and FAQS, but cannot find it anywhere?? Cannot find them in Vero either??
There seems to be loads of these items the same as mine on eBay, but only I have been done.... My feedback is 99.7% and 1,900 ish. Feel picked on as easy target.
What can I do for 7 days? can I list? It says I cannot sell?

I would agree with Sean - sadly, someone probably did turn you in. Probably another seller. And for all you know, with Stealth accounts, all those other sellers could be the same guy. eBay will never take away your right to BUY things, but selling - yeah, you're probably out of luck. But hey, it's just 7 days, and I'll bet you never make that mistake again!

Thanks guys, this is bizarre, I have sold 2 items since the ban started? Do they mean a ban on listing new items?
I did contact eBay complaining about the ban, I also wrote to JML (Via email) and I did get a personal response from JML, the response seemed genuine and as far as JML were concerned, once the item had been de-listed, and I had replied to eBay and followed the matter up with JML, the matter was now closed.

I have had no further messages from eBay on the matter either?

Any ideas chaps and chapesses?

Good that you got things straightened out with the guy you believe reported you. But yes, they mean a 7 day suspension on new listings. Go ahead - try listing a new item and see if you can do it. My best guess is no you can't but by now, a few of those days are over so maybe soon.
