transferring the account by editting the name of ebay register
 

I found that we can actually edit the name and address of our ebay accounts. I am not sure whether this is a new option or not. but If I change the name and the paypal linked to that ebay account, does it work?

I have an old ebay account which ran quite well. But weeks ago ebay requires SSN and then I am not able to list anything on that account now. Everytime I was trying to list items with that account, it requires me to use a business paypay or premier paypal account. If i change the name and update with a new paypal account, does is work?

i would think this would raise huge red flags. im sure the only reason they let you edit the name field is in cases of marriage or legal name change for a different reason. this sounds like a sure fire way to lose an account

If the account is a ladies name you can change the last name. Women do get married.

Other then that, silly move. Will draw all kinds of flags.

Doing anything to an account flagged to supply an SSN is going to raise flags.

Now it seems to me you are trying to change the name to avoid this. Not going to work.
Make these silly changes and you risk losing the account. You can not exactly separate what you are doing from the fact the account is flagged now.:doh:

Buyer's accounts TEND to be less scrutinized...exceptional circumstances include shill bidding, too many returns, and hard link to suspended seller account (IP, info, etc)
