Selling Self-Refurbished CellPhones on Ebay?

I've been seeing a decreasing in listings on Companies or Individuals selling Large amounts of Branded NEW Cell Phones.

My question is, If I buy bad cell phones from a waste company/recycling company and I refurb them to resell on Ebay, would that be considered breaking their policies?

Welcome to the forums. While this is not considered as *vero* or breaking policy, be aware that you are dealing in the Electronics category which is ALWAYS considered high risk for new accounts. Be very clear how you advertise and be prepared to deal with bum customers who WILL try to rip you off. All the best.

Rsot is correct.

Be prepared to give the new "professional" buyers a free phone.

These buyers have become standard anymore and can smell out a new account so they can get something for nothing.

I agree, no doubt. I have have a few in the past. But I guess it part of the business, how many retail stores have great no question ask policies and customer do take advantage of that, I mean if you are there for profit, we except things like that. But the main doubt I had, was that, a self-refurbished phone it's not considered VERO, most phones that we are trying to sell are basically the left overs from unsold auction in other Auction sites.

We don't think, ebay would let us really take off high, i think Ebay has become a fortress

Besides the vero problems, donot you think the refurbished phones will cause many quality issues and will get many complaints? As you know, the quality of refurbished is not stable.

Agree, I've done this before. A bit of advice. Over describe the phone, take as many pictures as you can (This will give a clear conception of the condition), list all the details of the phone including ios, firmware etc. Make sure you FULLY test the phone after you refub it. Unfortunately I've gotten burned selling a refurbed iphone. The customer didn't want it and sent an empty box back. I would suggest No refunds and No returns in your return policy.
