Default Closing suspended account

I initiated the closure of my account, they told me all of my information would not be stored. But I am skeptical. I am closing with the intent to re-open in order to sell again, does anyone have experience with this?

I currently have stealth accounts, I just prefer being legit.

You were correct to be skeptical.

Info is kept. They claim that it is not. I have even been told of an old email address I had deleted.

However, I have to ask why did you not consider running this closure past the forum?

You could have found out that it takes 6 months for the account to be fully closed. Fine be legit but you might have had one legit account. Now you're back to the start.

What's your actual plan? Another post spoke of dealing with real business people & not being stealth. What do you really want to achieve

Well when I first closed the account, I didn't even know about this forum. But I want to do business the legit way. The first time I got into business online, I messed up, not ebay. I was selling imported from China goods. It was just a matter of time. Now I want to try this again and see if I can prove myself as a trustworthy seller.

Would you not say that doing business in a legit way is the way to go here? unless that option is exhausted?

Of course, I do have a few stealth accounts going right now, but if I can get my real account going again I will be far happier

Two questions:

what was the suspension notice on that account?

How long ago did you tell them to close it? Doesnt make sense they would accept closure on a suspended account...

I initiated closure on the account which was suspended for trademark violations. I waited a longgg time to initiate closure tho. Probably about a year. I think ebay would let anyone close their accounts if they wanted to even with a suspension?

you thought wrong.

think of it this way. if you are suspended for good, how would you benefit from closing it? its not like you can close that one and then open a new one with the same info

if you are nervous about the stealth thing then you should be. that means you are not doing everything correctly and you do not know what to do. read the Stealth Book again.

you shouldnt be nervous everytime you log into your account, that just tells me that you are not sure about being stealth. that means are you not following the steps correctly. if you followed the steps 100% to the T you are fine. keep reading the book and dont be nervous.

dont be selling stuff that you think MIGHT be a bad sale on there. if you cannot deal with an account being booted then you are in the wrong business. make sure you have plenty of backups. ALL OF THE TIME!!!

i usually run 4 but im at three right now. just dont be nervous, if they are gunna kick you its b/c you screwed up and there is nothing you can do. just do everything correctly and you will be fine.

if you are stealth that means you know what to do if ebay/paypal calls you no matter the situation. always answer you phone!!
