IP addresses
 

I live in a room owned by a landlord, so I am not able to mess around with the router and such to change my ip. I was thinking though, my school computer lab should be fine to use, but the only problem is, everytime you log into a school computer, you have to use your school user id. The problem is, I already went on ebay when I was logged on with my school id. I know the ip addresses would be different for each computer, but will the cookies be saved because of my user id even if I go on separate computers, or will they be different on each computer?

using a public pc is not a good idea for many reasons asnd is not advised...

you need to look for a solution, such as tethering from a smart phone, having your own internet connection installed at home, a wireless dongle, etc...

also, if you have not already done so, purchase the stealth book, learn the process, study the forum and follow the advice of fellow forum members...

Thanks for the response! I do actually have an iphone. Is this all I need to do the tethering, since I cannot change anything with my internet modem and router stuff(landlord issues)

i have limited knowledge in this area, but i believe that the smart phone acts as the modem and utilizes your carriers data plan for the internet connection...

hopefully some of the more adavnced iphone users will share on this topic and as always, you can do a search on "iphone tethering"...
