Is that a bad idea?
 

I am going to stay at a hotel for a few nights, they have free WiFi. I have one stealth account I really need to pay attention too.

Is it a bad idea to log onto a stealth account using a hotels free WiFi?

I logged into a hotel wifi one on a real account and it last alot of months. You should really stay away from hotel wifi because alot of people log into that wifi. If you have to then do it in one shot and record that ip so you remember it.

Also - are you bringing your laptop with you, the same one you use for your stealth account?

Yes, I am bringing the same laptop I use for my stealth accounts. And thanks for the advice, I guess I wont do it :S.

Well if you are bringing the same laptop, you have the same cookies so you could do it. I know I have. IP alone should not kill. I still agree that to be doubly safe and if you are NOT sure, then best to avoid. What's a few days going to do to you? Plan your auctions ahead.

Or - you try it out and teach us about what you have learned =)

I use hotel wifi on a regular basis for many, many years. Never had a problem...

do you have a cell phone you can tether to? best option IMHO

you can always just keep updated by checking your email as EB sends out a email of everything that happens.

I don't think hotel IP will kill your account, But !!!! as we all dont trust EB so stay under radar don't buy troubles for no reason but all the best on your vacation I LOVE HOTELS :)
