⊗⊗⊗⊗ Buyers Discouraging Real Buyers!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to see if anyone else has had or having trouble with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ buyers running the bid up on your item (discouraging potential buyers) then not paying. I have never had this issue until recently. This past week I have had about 4 unpaid items. It is a real shame some people sit around just drive customers away from their competitors auctions. There is millions and millions of dollars going through eBay everyday so there is enough money to go around. Sad but I will not let these *******s discourage me. Thoughts and comments welcomed!

Report them for non paying and keep at it. If they do it enough, eBay will boot them

I had this problem for a short stint of a massive amount of non paying buyers so just turn on the unpaid buyer assistance and let it go to work for you. Its pretty much nature of the beast but luckily I stopped having a excessive amount seems like it was due to the holidays for me

Report them and have eb on your side.

Report them, file unpaid case, BLOCK BIDDER LIST ADD +1, and move on. Not much else to do - forget em.

You do realize that there's a "require immediate payment" checkbox right?
I use this on all of my listings

i had a problem with this during christmas i just had to stay on top of my auctions and blocked bidders with 0 feedback or just recently signed up

Only available for "buy it now" listings and not auctions but good advice nonetheless.

You must have a business or premier pp account to have 'require immediate payment' turned on, as if you don't and just have a personal pp account it won't let you do it

I used block bidders who had 0 feedback on their account which helped me avoid alot of unpaid's but i would suggest you report them suckers! although nothing much will prob be done about them...

I used to put in my listing that all non paying bidders would be reported to eb and that they would have an unpaid item strike put against their account, but part of the eb algorithm picked up on it and wouldn't let me put the listing up until I had removed it!

I also put my settings to not accept bids from buyers with unpaid item cases and 0 feedback, helps a bit but still get them occasionaly

Many buyers don't read fug all in the listing ha.

Thats a waste when you have people buying more than one item. Its just more work for you when you have to go back and refund all of the overpaid shipping. They buy one thing and then see another. Then another. They get pissed that they cannot be combines.

baloch 02-03-2012 10:44 PM

there is not much you can do but just report then, block them and put in your listing that you do not consider bids from certain people or put up a condition

biggunn 02-03-2012 11:52 PM

It's BS how you can only block buyers with -1 feedback. All the deadbeat buyers that just signed up on ebay are guaranteed at least 0 feedback since buyers can't get negative feedback anymore... In the US at least...
