Will my accounts become linked?
 

I have recently had a selling restriction placed on one of my eBay accounts.

I have been using a different paypal account from the one that is registered and linked with this particular eBay account.

My question is, if I start using this paypal account with a new clean eBay account, will the new eBay account become linked and consequently restricted as well?

yes

if the paypal was linked to a suspended ebay and then you link to a fresh ebay your linking

But I am right in thinking that if you are just using a paypal account to collect payments on listings, but it has never been officially linked with that eBay account (ie telling eBay to link them in the personal details section) then that means they aren't linked?

Don`t kid yourself - they are linked in terms of info...and that`s what counts.

It most certainly will get linked, unless your using a stealth account.

I am using stealth, I have kept different user accounts on my PC for each one and always re-set the router to get a new IP.

I have actually had exactly the same situation happen before and the accounts didn't become linked, but maybe that was just a lucky 1 off!

Using different user accounts is nice to keep info separate.

It may slide for a while but eventually will get linked and shut you down
