Am I safe
 

After 13 years or so on eBay I got the same notice everyone here did. Linked to a banned account. My mistake was running an open server for neighbors enjoyment...someone had a bad account and I got nailed. Nothing in my name, they wont help and cant tell me because its not in my name nor registered to my mailing address yada yada yada...We've all been there.

So I went around them. I brought in a silent partner, my best friend of 25 years. He invested a hefty amount to get me re-stocked with product and I handle all sales, shipping etc. Everything with eBay and Paypal is in his name. However I am selling it all from my same shop as before, same equipment etc. I reformatted the PC and reset my IP addresses. Nothing is linked to me at all and I am fairly certain they can only catch me by my IP. Am I safe or should I simply break down and use a proxy?

This is a big deal to me as I had grown my business to over 15k in sales a month. This is my livelihood. I was so ticked after the suspension that I went to amazon and set up a local shop and vowed never to do business with eSteal again (we wont talk about the tens of thousands of dollars I had to wrestle with Paypal over for months that nearly cost me my business and home). Nothing however generates the money eBay does and here I am back again. I want to make sure this sticks. I havent logged in with the new credentials or even visited their site . I want to make sure I have taken all of the correct steps so I dont blow this.
