Had an Amazing Buyer Recently

You know every now and then there is one buyer that comes along and makes your day not so bad.

I bought a laptop and other electronics from this family that was selling everything in their apartment as they were moving to another country

I checked the laptop and worked great except there was no battery.

I sold the laptop without the battery and the buyer messages me few days after he gets in the mail.

Buyer: bought a battery and did not charge
Tried everything on the Net and nothing
took it to a computer repair shop and found one of the motherboard socket is fried

Buyer: "But since I don't think you would knowingly sell a bad one, I won't leave bad feedback either. So I just won't leave any feedback."

Reading through his message I thought at first I would surely get a negative feedback but then he turned out to be a nice guy.

I replied that I am really sorry and that I really did not know what was wrong he said it was okay.

did he ask to return or refund etc?

or was he just an angel from the heavens

baloch 02-21-2012 08:33 AM

@GTB no he did not ask for a refund or open a case or anything. He just said "I hoped it would have gone better though"

@rsot send more of your friends this way. lol

@Greenbean Thanks The psychic did tell me my luck will turn by the end of March. I guess it is happening slowly.

Yup, this doesn't happen too often. The best experience i ever had with a buyer was when he purchased an item from me. Told me to cancel the transaction and keep the item but never asked for his money back. Its been about 3 months now and he still hasn't said anything. Free money for me :pound:

Knock on wood!!!

Nice people like yourself always get rewarded in the end.

Good job! Good catch.

Always nice to read something liek this!

Overall I do run into really nice buyers sometimes, also really bitchy ones, but so far I've been able to maintain 100% positive feedback and I did make sure that on every auction I have there's a giant red sign saying "If you have any problems with your item please let me know and I will solve any problem you might have." and I do solve every problem even if it means I'll have to lose the money on it.

Very often people say they haven't received their item, but never do I receive them back. They just go lost or something, or people are out for getting the item for free. Not everything I sell is worth sending registered.

I guess about 3% of my buyers run into problems, but most of them are just very friendly, probably because I'm selling antiques and old-items and people that are looking for those things know it's old so it doesn't seem so weird if a problem does turn up. Of course I do always pamper them with a bunch of messages how happy I am they made the purchase and when they will receive it, etc.

yea it is just those few that put your mood down for the day. It is really true that your morning makes your day.

Sandy D 02-23-2012 03:22 AM

I get these once in a while. Not often but once in a while.

Few and far between.

rsot 02-23-2012 10:02 AM

You get desensitized to whatever feedback after some time - just keep up the good work.
