question about limit

i plan on listing a pair of sneakers on my new account that i know will sell for over 1k

i really want to do bin.. will ebay let me do bin for lets say 1300 if my limit is only 1k or 10 items?

what if i do an auction and it goes over 1k then what??

GrannyT 02-28-2012 03:14 PM

That must be one hell of a pair of sneakers if they are going over 1K - I have a pair of wellie boots with chicken poo on - how much are they worth?

Christopher 02-28-2012 03:15 PM

Then your account will be toast - you can't circumvent them I'm afraid - you have limits because they don't trust you - don't prove them right

I'm intrigued - a pair of sneakers worth over a grand?

BEST ADVICE: Don't list them. Recipe for disaster if you ask me.

what if i include a picture of the shoes with my ebay username tagged in them

MM78 02-28-2012 04:29 PM

I heard about those sneakers, If you do go ahead with selling them be sure to at least post pictures of the shoes with receipt and pray for the best.

Good Luck.

hackteck 02-28-2012 06:11 PM

you could fetch a real good price for those shoes on ebay but it could cost you the account to sell something so expensive on your first sale

bansheezone 02-28-2012 06:43 PM

Good luck with trying this :smash:

Christopher 02-28-2012 08:54 PM

They are going to say that you broke the rules and can not be trusted by knowingly selling a product of high value with the probality of exceeding your account limit.

Bye Bye your gone.........:ban?:

jamblix 02-28-2012 11:38 PM

Why are you selling these on eb? Go sell them in person on craigslist or something and get cash. I wouldn't trust eb or pp with $1k+ on a new account ever.

Christopher 02-29-2012 05:03 AM

man i live in arkansas nobody trying to get them but ill see... ppl are making 60,000 transactions on ebay whats 1.5k

MM78 03-01-2012 01:04 AM

It's not the 1k for 1 pair of sneakers, it's due to the account being brand new. If you were a seller with at least 20-30 positives with some time on the account you might be good. What everyone is saying is that don't sell them on an account that has zero or very little feedback. I personally don't like Craigslist but it might be the best bet.

This is just a crazy idea but if you know someone with a good ebay account that's crazy enough to sell them for you and maybe get a piece of the action it just might work. Just a wild idea really.
