divine422 05-01-2008 09:31 PM

oooo... im definately checking out ioffer i didnt know it was that high up there.

ebay-sucks 05-01-2008 09:36 PM

EBHL you are golden !

adventmma 05-02-2008 11:21 AM

I've heard a couple of bad reviews about ioffer but am willing to try it out in a small, experimental sort of way.

About porting your ebay feedback over to your ioffer account, though. Would I be able to port the feedback from an ebay account that has 4 feedbacks on it even though the account has never been used as a seller's account? 4 feedback is better than 0, you know. Thanks.

ebayaintstupid 05-02-2008 11:32 AM

I tried ioffer once...

got one stupid offer for half the value of the item in about six months.

mantisinc 05-02-2008 04:13 PM

Also, you can bring your feedback in from a suspended account. Their feedback system just requires a valid login, I've done it. Managed to import just under 400 feedbacks from a suspended account :)

Lisa B 05-02-2008 04:20 PM

LOL - really? do they make you import the negs on a suspended account?

mantisinc 05-02-2008 04:31 PM

I'm not sure, I didn't really may much notice. When I did it, the website was so unbelievably slow, I just kind of forgot abotu it all together.

Al I remember about iOffer is loling at importing suspended eBay feedbacks :D

2eXclusiive 05-02-2008 04:38 PM

yes, it brings your negatives over also.

2eXclusiive 05-03-2008 05:35 PM

yea, it does have alot of counterfeit goods.

411guru 05-03-2008 08:40 PM

I knew that iOffer was ranked 2nd for awhile now. If you sell real goods, don't expect them to sell. ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff is everywhere there. My programs that I've listed on there which I could sell 10 copies at least a day on ebay, I've sold 1 copy for $1.95 in 3 weeks, which ususally sells for $9.95 all day long on ebay.

However, lists are free and stays up forever until sold. Expect stupid noobs offering you 1/2 of what you want.

ecrater is good but sucks if you want to use html as its prohibited.

CQout is the 2nd largest auction site in UK. I've listed on there for 1 week now with no sell. Also they make you pay $4.00 to verify your seller account. Also they limit the amount of your characters in the description to 30,000, which was not enough for me.

Ubid is good but you have to be a big company to sell on there. That or post ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info to qualify.

Most of the other sites like onlineauction, tazbar, and plunder here are ⊗⊗⊗⊗ sales. I mean you see people selling but really it is sellers buying from other sellers. They have a forum and agree to buy each others crap, thus making it look like they have real sales. Real sales mean you don't have to buy your buyers stuff.

All in all, ebay still pwns all those sites. In a couple of cases ebay is killed by rival sites. For example, trademe in New Zealand, yahooauctions Japan in Japan, taobao in China, etc. But that is irrelevant if you are in the US. Or if you are fluent in chinese, or Japanese. Trademe banned digital items so that is a no go for me. Another issue is that paypal is unpopular among foreign buyers and it is next to impossible to setup their popular online money transfers because you have to be a resident of that country.

I've done my homework when I was suspended and looking for alternatives, so I know alot. Unfortunately ebay still pwns them all. I am currently on cqout, ioffer, and plunderhere. Only yielded 1 sale on ioffer in 3 weeks.

2eXclusiive 05-03-2008 09:25 PM

yea, i havent gotten any sales on ioffer yet =( and i slashed the over all price of my item by almost 50%
and people are still asking for a cheaper price
i think its a dead end
i think there are alot of listings up only because listing a item(s) is free.
but good luck to the rest of you
=)

the_blue_messiah 05-04-2008 12:17 PM

Yup, can postest ebay as being place to be ...needs to me more. Ioffer not even worth time...amazon is an good one...it's really unfair to sellers can get easy rip-offed my buyers...so...

2eXclusiive 05-04-2008 03:17 PM

anyone sell on amazon?
how is it?
are they strict?

oyeBay 05-14-2008 10:21 AM

has anyone had any sucess with eCrater or Bidville?

TIA

2eXclusiive 05-14-2008 02:22 PM

i heard ubid and ibid are pretty good, not as good as ebay but its aright.

Lisa B 05-14-2008 03:25 PM

I have had decent success on Ecrater. Its not more then ebay of cource BUT it is much much better then Ioffer. Remember Ioffer is a slow site and I don't see many of their items listed on google products.

Ecrater items always get posted to google and last month was my best month ever selling 22 items from only 2 different item tyes.

Ioffer wanted to charge me 5$ for two items that "sold" even though I didn't get payment for them. Forget that.

Ecrater also loads quicker but as was stated, you can't use HTMl.

Overall Ecrater is free and helps augment your ebay stuff. Thats what I'm doing. Ecrater takes google checkout and paypal.

2eXclusiive 05-14-2008 06:36 PM

i ran through ubid.com real quick it doesnt seem like they have alot of buyers.

Ballsack 05-15-2008 05:58 AM

Ioffer has over 3 times as many listings as their secondary competitor Ecrater but if you check statbrain.com Ioffer and Ecrater has very similiarl number of visitors a day.

411guru 05-15-2008 10:00 AM

On Ubid you have to be a registered business. You have to provide alot of business info for them to approve you to sell on there. Too much hassle.

My digital items depend on HTML to sale successfully. Therefore, ecrater sucks for me. But other items might do well.

I was shocked to see that I sold 3 digital items on iOffer ONE day. This is where I am staying. However, be forewarned, iOffer will restrict your account if you don't get feedback. They will make you beg like a dog for buyers to leave you feedback.

As for listings, I don't know about ecrater, but iOffer's number of listings is inflated because a listing stays up FOREVER, as long as the seller is still registered. On ebay, listings expire max in 10 days and new listings replace them.

2eXclusiive 05-15-2008 01:35 PM

i havent had any success on ioffer.com yet, hopefully soon

411guru 05-15-2008 09:58 PM

Since iOffer has no listing fees, you should list as many listings as possible, even if you have only 1 of the thing you are selling. If you are selling a computer for example, list it in the purse section. Ioffer doesn't care. When you sell it, just delete the other listings. Also, since the site is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ purse, watch heavy, put in your keyword search box, words like gucci, LV, rolex, prada etc, even if you aren't selling those things. This is what I did.

But this selling restriction due to lack of feedback is pissing me off. I sold 5 things and they suspend my selling. I've begged for buyers to leave me feedback with no reply. Then I even offered to paypal buyers $1 and no one is replying yet. I guess this is their way of preventing feedback manipulation.

I tried that on a suspended account and no go. It never transferred over after many hours.

411guru 05-16-2008 01:32 AM

ebayhateluv,

I did. But Ioffer only wants feedback from sales you've made on ioffer. Update: one buyer left me a feedback and my listings appeared again like magic! I'm gonna spamm iOffer. Try to get some sales! Good luck guys.

2eXclusiive 05-16-2008 03:02 AM

because there are so many listings on ioffer, alot of prices are very low and competitive and since there are only a handful of buyers its hard to get a sale.

411guru 05-18-2008 09:38 AM

It seems the link has been taken down. Before it was, i noticed iOffer had been making much leeway with a second place rank.

Ballsack 05-20-2008 08:12 AM

Ioffer doesn't allow you to post your emails but can't you just write your email out like this, emailme at yahoo dot com or something?

2eXclusiive 05-20-2008 02:11 PM

yea you can, do that if you want to put your email down.

Ballsack 05-20-2008 07:36 PM

I assume ioffer won't catch that right?

2eXclusiive 05-20-2008 07:40 PM

nope, they have so many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ they wont go after a small thing like that
not a chance.

Ballsack 05-20-2008 09:01 PM

They don't go after that stuff because they make money off of it.

Ballsack 05-21-2008 01:46 AM

For the record it was removed. Still not sure how they detected it.

2eXclusiive 05-21-2008 05:23 AM

oh wow, i know for a fact ioffer's team did not pick it up, some one must have reported it, because they probably thought that you was trying to do a transaction outside of ioffer.

Ballsack 05-21-2008 07:38 AM

That's unlikely no one is actually clicking on any of the ads. :)
