Will be watching this closely as it is not in my area yet.

I was already to sign up until I did the location check. Odd, it is not available anywhere in my state. ???

unkown5454 03-20-2012 08:08 PM

^^^ That's because WiMAXX blows and is a dying technology. Once Clear implements LTE, things will be different.

Red X 03-20-2012 08:32 PM

My town only has 3g, seems as If we'll never get 4g here, even though none of this is real 4g anyway.

Burst 03-20-2012 08:57 PM

You can hit 200mb in a few days worth of light browsing. Not bad though

I am able to run 8 accounts on 150 MB a month... So 200 for free would be great. I am also in an area where its not available. It is availble about 100 miles in each direction. Might get it anyway in case I want to take a day trip. Will wait for all those that signed up and didnt check location to sell them on ebay cheap.

unkown5454 03-21-2012 10:27 PM

I'm with newjersey...not sure what you are doing to piss through 200MB in 2-3 days.

Must be watching a lot of naughty websites

The free option is excellent, but how would you go about changing the ip address? Does it refresh the moment you log off and log back in? What has been everyone's experience with these types of devices?

You are correct with IP change method. And MiFi boxes are all I use...

sax4 03-28-2012 01:24 PM

4g has been around here for a while in Ukraine, gonna sign up to Freshtel soon

BiN4RY 03-28-2012 01:36 PM

Why don't we get this in Canada :(

unkown5454 03-28-2012 10:21 PM

The prepaid part or the 4G part? Because Bell and Telus are all over the 4G nonsense already.

BiN4RY 03-28-2012 11:17 PM

The free part is what i'm concerning about the most

Ha, Canada prefers those lengthy 3 year death sentences.

OfficialGenius 03-29-2012 04:55 AM

YES!!! It's available in my area! :humble:

But does anyone know the how many IPs are used? Repetitive and limited IPs when turning off/on wouldn't be good.

unkown5454 03-29-2012 02:07 PM

It just got released. Don't expect to get such detailed answers. It isn't expensive. If you are serious about your business, this cheap little investment is pocket change. Seriously, the card is $50 and you get free service. How many handouts do you need?

Ballsack 03-29-2012 09:51 PM

I can't believe they are charging $20 to mail a tiny usb dongle.

I know, that's why I was hoping they were listed on eBay for cheaper but I haven't seen any on there yet.

And I heard 200mb uses like close to 1mb per webpage. Something like that

The MiFi box has a monitor on it that will track data used each session if you are really that concerned.

2003pinkpoodle 04-17-2012 09:51 AM

I just ordered this is the ip address is STATIC...it DOES NOT CHANGE...just got this stupid effing stick yesterday and they will NOT refund my money...this thing is WORTHLESS...it runs off of the Clearwire server and we ALL KNOW THAT IS STATIC....PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

MM78 04-17-2012 10:29 AM

well 2003pinkpoodle, sorry to hear that. At least now people know that it's static. It's pretty ridiculous they charge $20 to ship a usb dongle.

oge 04-17-2012 11:25 AM

Well I was waiting for the bad news..... Clear sucks!

You live in a remote area with a low population per sq mile.

A dongle's IP is based on cell phone towers. If you have 77 cell phone towers if your area, you will have 77 different IPs to log into when you log in.

If you have 1 cell phone tower, you will log into the same tower every single time.

This is why your dongle has it's own SIM card. Because it works off of Cell phone Towers.

I suggest that you grab your laptop and hop into your pickup truck (cough HILLBILLY cough) and drive about 5 miles down the road and see if your IP changes.

unkown5454 04-19-2012 02:54 AM

Too bad SIM cards are used in GSM networks...Clear is WiMAX. When trying to make fun of someone, you should probably be sure that you have the slightest clue of what you are talking about first. :nono:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Because I live in a large city and my Verizon stick was always dynamic so if what was said about my "HILLBILLY" neighborhood is TRUE...that shouldn't have worked either then? Right? BUT IT DID:p

oge 04-19-2012 06:14 PM

Also Clear sucks not one device EVER changed ip's thanks for the update!

unkown5454 04-20-2012 02:23 AM

Sprint devices that use Clear change IP all the time. It's what I use :)

I just got the netzero with 4G. They assured me it was dynamic and should change IPs everytime I unplug and replug. Doesn't change. Tried a different laptop. No difference. Even tried ipconfig/release and renew. nothing. Any ideas?

Windows 7 upgraded

Yea, the problem is NetZero.

Netzero is not worth it for Stealth. Verizon is a good choice.

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

I have Verizon too but it seems everything available in the big city is static. Any better idea at all?

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

Really never heard of Verizon being a static IP and I live in a big city the fastest changing IP around. Are you using their Fios?.. That I don't have I have Comcast so don't know about that but go to the store grab a Hotspot, a Verizon Hotspot change I don't know about Fios but get a Verizon hotspot turn off on you get a new IP and a lot of IPS

wangel 01-01-2014 05:49 PM

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

Thanks. I will look into that. Is that a wireless 3G-4g Hotspot I assume. Yes we have FIOS and I assume it's static because I tried to change the IP one time using their IT support and even they could make it change. I ended up getting a new router from them, which changed it, but only the first time of course. Thanks again.

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

This netzero hotspot been around since March 2012. I got mine April 2012. But it works great. But need to turn it off for hours to get new ip. Dont change ip address easily at all. Horrible for multiple accounts

Sumer 01-07-2014 05:41 PM

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

Bought mine when this I first saw this, got it in the mail, tried a few different things to change the IP, no luck. Waste of $60. Going to try keeping it unplugged for a few hours. Already have it for the rest of the month anyway. Oh by the way, they offer no return policy on the monthly service or the device.

Sumer 01-07-2014 05:42 PM

Re: NetZero 4g wireless frist 200MB FREE!!

Oh and can someone confirm verizon card being dynamic?
