In the U.S., you must have either PayPal or a Merchant Account in order to Sell
 

hi:
i created a new Ebay account last 10 days and i was able to post my first item after the verification phone successfully.after one hour my second item was there also. they finished both today and i was able to convince the buyers to pay with GC. i don't have a PayPal account.
when i posted my third item yesterday i saw a notice : attention Seller: you have to be a verifier Paypal account blablala. anyway the auction is runnig good.
but this morning they didn't let me post another item without signing up for a PayPal account.
is this a new rule now for Ebay or just for certain categories?
or is it a limit for a new seller to list before verifying his PayPal account?

eBay is starting to require that you accept PayPal :)

I do not know how you got something even posted without having the pp account clicked.
Any account created after 11-07 is required that you take pp.
There are many here who get around the pp requirement for accounts after that but many also have accounts pre 11-07 that do not require pp be clicked.

I have noticed that in order to ship to the U.K. you HAVE to take PayPal. I've seen that several times when listing an item and having Worldwide shipping.

you can check on PayPal email even if you don't have one.
later you can create one if the buyer send the money. you will receive a notification of cash.

Hmmmm, I been reading, I hear about how ebay now as of a rule require sellers to have a verifyed paypal account. I haven't made a new account since 2006 but just recently, yup, their system is updating everything. Was unaware of that until just recently. So you have to have an verifyed paypal to sell on ebay. That sucks...

The same as mine.i have listed many items before they ask me to link an veirfied us paypal account.But now i can't list anymore wihtout veirfied paypal

SuperBowl,could you list again without linking a verified paypal?

i met the same problem too and its the new rules of ebay to the new seller accounts or just random to some new seller?

i mean NEW seller accounts.I havent met this problem yet when i use my another account which is over 60 days old.
