Ebay sales super sloowwww!!

Is anyone elce having really slow sales. I have been having days where im selling nothing lately, Started last week so im assuming is has something with spring break. Whats your thoughts? :peace:

rsot 03-27-2012 11:20 AM

Depends on your product and your clientele I would say.

teedon 03-27-2012 11:52 AM

Rsot is right. There are lots of people sold tons items in this peroid

Try to search more items and try to learn the market.

Thankful 03-27-2012 01:01 PM

Maybe you need some new products :noidea:

jamblix 03-27-2012 01:14 PM

Yeah you're probably selling nothing because your product isn't in demand. Someone who lists a million life sized, golden, diamond encrusted statues of Tony Montana aren't gonna be selling much.

rsot 03-27-2012 01:55 PM

Ugh jambs way to knock my market on the head =P

mrcvs1 03-27-2012 02:24 PM

Tony Montana you say, huh!

jeffweico 03-27-2012 06:52 PM

It DOES depend on your products. However, we have also been having unseasonably warm weather in many parts of the country. That means more people doing the outdoor thing and not online, buying stuff.

Omgoozle 03-27-2012 09:11 PM

Thank god I was first-to-market with my life sized, golden, diamond encrusted statues of Jeremy Lin

Sandy D 03-27-2012 09:15 PM

I have a product that has went from 55% sell through to 90% sell through in March.

I just do not see slower sales on any of my accounts. Actually see prices getting bid up more the normal.

morningwood 03-29-2012 09:20 PM

Yes, everyone is right, it has something to do with what your selling and the time of the year. I sell mostly automotive racing parts and off road parts which are aimed for the younger crowd. My other account selling live pond plants is booming with sales, I tried listing some of my car parts on that account to see if the account was the issue but no sale.

yotano211 03-30-2012 03:40 AM

I sell lots of hard drives and my sales are still holding steady. The average prices are coming down though.

mercurial333 03-30-2012 06:07 AM

Amazon was very slow for me the last two weeks. Ebay going very good.

stanislav 03-30-2012 04:50 PM

I don't think sales are slow in general. I think it has to do more with WHAT YOU SELL.

Agreed.

Even during a down economy certain people still find ways to buy things they need.

So I focus on needful things when the economy is down.

Next for me is car parts-----

FandangoKango 03-30-2012 11:54 PM

This time of the year it is always like that.

Callidus 03-31-2012 02:30 AM

Yes mine slowed down slightly always at the end of the month due to paydays. I have about 70+ watchers then suddenly payday comes and my sales go mad

teedon 03-31-2012 04:10 AM

car parts is a good product, car alarm, car gps,car mp3 player, car cool and warm box.But you need to order the minimun quantity from the factory and then you can get the factory price, this way you donot have to let the middleman to eat most of your profit. All these need to invest not little money even for 1 *20 foot container.

accutinting 03-31-2012 04:51 AM

Im not aggressive at all in the car market but Im really into cars and buy alot of my stuff on here, and not the little cherry bomb mufflers but more luxury items and I see the sell through rate is through the roof on the products that you dont mainly think of or dont even know of. But competition seems very high in even some of these not so average markets

A good warming for the people who want to enter into car parts market.

Actually there are not only reselling market is in a big competition, but also manufacturers are in a big competition .Like car mp3 players, there are lot of factories making it and offer very cheaper price, even 2 usd each set for some models.

But many many people own the car, they have the demand to buy the car parts,so there are many chances to do some jobs on this area.Of cource there are long roads to sucess and you need to do more researching and more experience.

But if you donot start ,you never know the result.

Sandy D 03-31-2012 11:33 AM

I was actually teasing about the car parts.

But in that case I have a nephew who buys junk cars, pulls off the better parts and scraps the rest of the car.

He says he makes on average 500 a week doing this. Thus the reason I mentioned car parts because for a kid who only does it part time 500 a week in decent money for a kid still in college.

Thanks Teedon for your always very informative information.

bansheezone 04-01-2012 12:44 PM

That's what I do but with Jet ski's and atv's. I love what I do that is the best part for me besides the money when its good.

Sandy you got a family of hustlers.
