If you think building a massive amount of accounts for use later is a hassle then you need to stop doing this.

2 items per day is all you sell?

Guess you need to stop completely, selling 2 items per day would be a total waste of my time.

Just to let you know I sold over 200 items yesterday for more then 10,000 in sales. Profits around 4,000. I spent about 2 hours packing, making labels etc today for them. Add in the time I spent buying the items, picture taking and listing I made probably made 350 per hour. Not too shabby.

Now would you consider that a hassle?

I now have 50+ working accounts with feedback and another 50 new accounts I am starting to work on to build feedback.

My goal is to have 100 working accounts by Christmas time with no selling limits to any account.

My other goal is to have 300 or more accounts created and aging for later use.

Oh and I sold 25 items this week on Amazon and 5 items on Craigslist.

Guess you get out what you put in and if you are not willing give the effort and put in the time you wont succeed at anything in life.

CRAZZY! How do u have 100 bank accounts tho!! Even 50 sounds like its pushing it big time.

Elijah 05-30-2012 11:01 AM

Things must be different in America, as I have heard of other people with that many also. I think that they can open full accounts online there.

You would attract some serious attention if you tried to get anywhere near that amount in the UK.

MM78 05-30-2012 12:12 PM

I had an awesome Memorial Day Weekend, Total sales equaled 120 BIN's sold, I almost dropped by phone in my BBQ Grill when I saw all the emails from Paypal with "Payment Received". Sad part, having to package and ship them all, lol.

I know some of you can package 1,000's a day but I could barely get them all packaged by the end of the day Monday.

Anyways, hope everyone had a good holiday weekend.

bumder 05-30-2012 02:09 PM

I sell around 15-30max a day, purely depending on the the day. Minor compared to some of the above. :P

Not that hard.

Multiple banks with 3-6 per bank in both my and DH names.

Some in business names.

What am I pushing?

Is it illegal to have more then one bank account or something?

pr0wake 05-31-2012 01:21 AM

jesus! some crazy huge numbers in here! all stealth accounts? whoa!

In the UK they likely would have accused you of potential money laundering by the time you got to 15-20 accounts in your own name. Your partner does not count obviously in the total.

DH? is that your girlfriend or something?

Sounds like a good reason to have multiple girlfriends, you have to be very stealthy though haha

Sandy D 05-31-2012 10:40 AM

There is a way around having people not even take a second look at many different accounts.

But I am not going to post it because it will be abused in matter of hours.

MM78 05-31-2012 03:45 PM

Yeah, Sandy is only going to tell me, right Sandy? :cheer:

lol, jk.

Can't always give up the good stuff, gotta keep it to one's self.

biggunn 05-31-2012 03:45 PM

Nothing at all wrong with 50 bank accounts. Just pay all your taxes. :)

stickmade 05-31-2012 06:21 PM

Elijah, I have way more than 20 banks, I have 5+ friends who have more than 15 banks none of them have been accused of money laundering, I seriously doubt that they are going to accuse anyone of laundering!!

your gonna be killed during the holidays. I suggest you think over your shipping plan before that time comes.

I can do 300 in 2 hours by myself easy..

MM78 05-31-2012 09:53 PM

Yeah but I don't do the amount you guys do, for me School is priority #1, Ebay is 2nd. I think it was just pure luck I did that many in a weekend.

Gamefreak 05-31-2012 11:23 PM

Trust me unless you sell junk.... EVERYTHING sells 5 to 10 times as much during the holidays. Black friday u can even see 20x sales due to all the sales doing on and ppl buying stuff to go with the stuff they bought.

Again it all depends on what you sell..

Nissan2nr22 06-01-2012 12:24 AM

Woah these are some crazy numbers, i sell about 5-6 items a day with about 10 accounts

AmazonStealth 06-01-2012 12:48 AM

Holiday sales are INSANE for me. I will be preparing for holiday inventory within the next month or so. Last holiday season I was able to loan money to my parents for a very nice home paid in cash, from the holiday season alone.

MM78 06-01-2012 01:07 AM

@AmazonStealth, that is super awesome to help your parents out that way. Your parent's have raised you well.

That is something that I wish one day I can make a reality for myself. Congrats to you, you're definitely doing it right.

nebuspp 06-02-2012 11:11 AM

I remember back during Christmas when I first started selling on eBay. I was in SHOCK at the amount of sales I got. There was a 1 hour period where I got over 25 orders in...I was like wtf this is nasty.

I didn't realize that Christmas sales where regular days on illegal steroids!

holo 06-02-2012 12:30 PM

Currently I'm selling 15 items a week pricing 100-200USD. All are Auctions only few BINBO. All items are from the same small category. After all taxes leaving around half of that in profit.

I did have received more than twice BIN sales before Xmas

It seems crazy how can you pack so fast..so many items. I need to learn it.

Sandy D 06-03-2012 06:35 PM

I have spent all day going through 19 accounts that sold items yesterday.

I have sit in this chair since 8 am this morning and it is now 7 pm.

Other then fixing food and taking care of kids as needed I have spent all these hours printing, listing new items, answering questions etc.

More then 300 items sold just yesterday.

And to think someone here posted the other day they hate to spend more then 1 hour working on ebay.

As someone in a video I watched a while back said, get the heck off the couch and do something if you want to make money.

My butt is asleep but the money I made is well worth sitting for almost 12 hours.

MM78 06-03-2012 06:43 PM

Sandy, You should get one these as your chair:

Thank you. It is a give take relationship, and I went though some sh!t in my late teens which they were there for financially and emotionally 24/7. Also as a business person, I couldnt stand having them pay for a house that would cost 800,000 when they are done paying it off, when in reality it is only 400,00 (financing).

Love this thread. Serves as good inspiration and proof that Hard Work. Pays Off. That's pasted on the seat of my office chair.

I do about 20sales/$100 profit a day in about 4-5 hours.
2 active accounts and 1 dormant.

Seriously considering AOL and dial-up after seeing the astronomical numbers in this thread. Aspkin is also another user that deserves a shout out! He's the reason why we're on this forum and entrepreneur alike. Let's keep this one going! :thumb:

But, it cannot be a new wholesale item that everyone can get.

I specialize in antiques and collectibles therefore smaller competition and the pool of people in this area is shrinking all the time as most younger 35 or below are and never were interested in antiques and collectibles.

Most older people I watched and learned from since I was a kid are gone or retired. I hardly ever see young people at auctions anymore. Mostly older people who are just doing it for fun now.

Many that have no clue bid up stuff 5 times its value or run out of money.

Antiques and collectibles for those with years of knowledge is still highly profitable.

Add in yard sale crap and a few new things and profits in volume is what I think goes.

Not much competition in the auctions anymore. I think it is because people who used to have money and knowledge are not showing up and if they do they are not buying anymore.

The other thing is Americans are getting older and shrinking their houses and therefore the items they have. I am seeing a nice trend of better goods coming to auctions lately. For a few years it was mostly low end household stuff but not anymore.

I have a goal to sell 500 items in one day. Might never hit it but I am going to try.

I noticed the same thing. 90% of the items I sell are vintage/antique. When going to auctions and yard sales, the profit margin can be huge. One year I found a rare all chrome kitchen aid mixer from the late 20's. Paid 13 bucks at a tag sale and sold it for close to 800.00. That is of course rare, but I still make pretty high profits on nearly all my finds.

It is more work though, a lot more. In tracking things down, freezing your hiney off going to auctions in the cold, taking lots pics, unique descriptions for each auction. Can't do any mass duplicate listings. But still totally worth it :)
