Question about Selling limit

I searched around and didn't find a answer to this question. I know it's based on starting price but say for example the bid starts at 1.00 and has a reserve price of 100.00, would the amount towards the selling limit be 1.00 or 100. Assuming that it sells would then the final sell price be towards the limit?

Whatever the item sells for in the end will count towards your limit providing it reached your reserve. I presume that if you put a reserve in this will immediately come off your selling limit, then go back on if the item doesnt sell. Otherwise someone with a 10/650 limit could list their 10 limit for £1.00 each and £100 reserve- this would exceed the £650 limit if they all sell. I have never tried it but would presume ebay would be wise to this.

You could try and see. List an item an put the £100 reserve on as a test. You can end the listing once you see what happens and the limits will go back on to your account.

Thanks. My instincts tell me the reserve amount will be deducted even if it don't sell but ill give it a test and post the results in this thread.
