I never saw why this couldn't work. I want to get around the hassle of getting a merchant account then get it approve then you might end up still getting suspended on there! Not to mention if your merch account don't get approved you have cancellation fee's to pay.
I was thinking of not mentioning google checkout at all in the auction description until the item is won and the i send the invoice. In the auction description I will tell bidders to read payment instructions on the invoice before they buy in bold. Then when I send the invoice I will tell them how I don't accept paypal and they have the option of paying by credit card, money order, or personal check. And if they want to use paypal or debit to click on the button that will lead to a secure & safe checkout.
I hardly doubt people wouldn't trust google as a payment method. I mean it's not like it ain't a household name. And if the buyer somehow seems iffy about the transaction and don't wanna do it theres always the second chance offer! |
