What is going to happen now?
 

I sold about 10 things to 10 different people on SUN/MON night, because of a drop shipping recommendation from a friend who uses Ioffer. The China supplier has sent the stuff to my address.. AIRMAIL...!!! after requesting EMS/Drop-shipping....a nightmare!!.

Now it may be 2-3 more weeks before I get the item, and can pay additional to have it shipped to my buyers.

I have 100% feedback, and 4.7 DSR!!! 5 out of 5 for two of them!!!


Do I let the buyers know?? I want to wait another week or two and see if they get here in a reasonable amount of time.... I put standard 2-5 business day shipping on my auction. Can I extend the shipping time.

Worst case scenario if I wait till the end of next week to decide I just want to refund all 10 of my buyers....am I pretty much screwed with my Ebay account...I'm assuming my DSR rating will decline greatly....

I was doing so good with my account, finding things in my home and locally...I should have never considered drop-shipping...the limited communication between English and Chinese made this happen.

Business model question - dropshipping is dangerous - maybe consider explaining that your local shipment got ruined from XXX event - would they prefer to wait or cancel...etc

Why would you put your income and account in jeopardy, by placing all the pressure on someone overseas? Drop shipping is the absolute worst idea every. Unless you have the products in hand, never sell them.

Almost certainly.

Ask yourself, would you put up with the long wait if you were one of the buyers?

call the buyers if possible rather than email

you should just refund their money (maybe half?...email them), and tell them their items will be arriving in a couple weeks because of issues. you might have to eat the bullet, so avoid starting over with a stealth account.

Lkm1117, ever hear of stealth accounts? You can sell on ebay again and again and again. As everyone pointed out Drop-shipping is bad idea but we all live and learn my friend. Your gonna have to be creative about what to tell your customers and never do drop-shipping again.

Send an empty envelope with delivery confirmation to some random address in the city they live in. They will email you after a bit wondering where their item is. Tell them you thought they had it already as tracking shows it as delivered. This way it looks like you sent it as far as they know. Be very apologetic and play dumb and offer a replacement (if you have the items by then) or offer a full refund. You should come out okay and the buyers shouldn't be too pissed. Take everyone's advice on here and DO NOT dropship again. Take AmazonStealth's advice and don't sell ANYTHING until you have it in hand.

What happen when 9-10 people open a case against you but you refund their money..and they still give you bad feedback???

Will I go from 100% to like 70% ??? :(

Will I go to like a 3.4 DSR???

I feel like I just ruined my ability to sell

I really like the extra income...I don't want to stop selling...but no one is going to buy from me if my DSR is crap and I'm at 50% feedback

just keep in contact with the buyers and you'll be fine. i have come across very very few trigger happy buyers that are quick to leave negative feedback. Find a better source than dhgate for your sales. now THAT place is dodgy!

Ok well , what are the odds that EBAY will shut down my account after this. I've never had issues before...but the dropshipper shows my items to still be in CHINA!!!!

The only good thing i see out of this is the fact that they did send it to your address and not straight to the customer. I wont even list a product until its in my possesion even if the tracking says it will be at my shop tomorrow. But to fix this situation you have a couple different routes but like previously stated i would offer a nice partial refund and explain something happened and that your refunding to compensate for the error or ask if they would prefer a full refund. some will agree and some will not, but rethink your business plan if you have any intentions of making money at this

I have to agree with stealth items and overseas items. In the post meg Whitman era you have to be more than careful about what you do. Doing crazy things like drop shipping from CHina is a no go in todays eBay world.
