Do you guys create these yourself? Things like adding "free shipping" , "uk Seller".

Or do you pay people to do this for you? I've no idea where to start to do this but its something that needs to be done i think!

Keep in mind that changes to eBay policy, which come into effect fairly soon, I want to say it prohibits inserting text on your pics. For specifics refer to the policy change bulletin.

hmmm what to do

Just take a picture with a note next of the item stating you ship from a certain country or you offer "free shipping".

Save the piece of paper for the next item and yada yada. If you can't put a watermark then do the piece of paper trick. I don't think they will say anything about it.

I dont think you can have any text in your main picture whether its computer edited or hand written. I dont know if I hate or love this rule, but I dont have any issues with it either way I guess.

The rule isn't no watermark.
The rule is NO TEXT.
Whether the text is in the form of a watermark, or photo of words doesn't matter.
Text is text to eBay... They will still consider it a violation.
And in eBay style, it doesn't matter what you say to argue that your text isn't text.
eBay always wins...... it's their territory.

What about inserting the same picture in the listing with words, etc?

I usually add a larger image of the item in my listing so the buyer can see a better image of the item for sale.

Use tools such as Photoshop, Image Resizer Pro, Photo Scape, Snag it and also adobe fireworks.

If you learn to use the combination of all of these, then you wont waste much time dribbling around with pictures.
