Rewards for leaving low DSR's for a seller!

As if DSR scoring is not flawed enough already, ebay.com are now offering coupons to US buyers who leave low DSR ratings for their purchases. eBay Gives Buyers an Incentive to Complain

Now that's just ridiculous. Not only can buyers use negs as extortion, but they get a discount for doing it too?!?

jscan 05-17-2008 02:37 AM

i think i heard about this before, lmao it gets better each day

mantisinc 05-17-2008 10:31 AM

Haha, yea this has already popped up in the forum. It's a good one.

I have to see this in print from ebay b/4 I believe this story. If true, well, insanity has hit San Jose.

tsboss1 05-17-2008 11:53 PM

This is real. I blogged about it like last month and it was discussed in the ebay seller forums....They are just giving more sellers a reason to leave lol

Lisa B 05-19-2008 03:02 PM

Hey Yoga - Not all of us in San Jose are insane....at least not yet.

becca073 05-19-2008 04:33 PM

Yah and when you as a buyer go to leave a seller feedback you get a pop up screen that basically tells you not to be afraid to leave negative for the seller cause buyers can no longer get negative from sellers. Such BS!

Wouldnt this be a great time for say........twitter to come up with their own auction site....twitter being so popular and all......seems that if another popular name would come along and create an auction site people would flock to it! Then Ebay would no longer feel like the big guy and maybe get off the cloud that they are sitting on and make changes that benefit everyone. Ebay knows to many people rely on Ebay as their only source of income so sellers suck it up and keep on going. Without sellers how are there going to be buyers??? Problem is....no matter what changes they make all we can really do is complain....we all still stay on ebay. It is horrible!! Twitter Auctions.....now that sounds like it would be practical and possible! Without a fair running mate against paypal/ebay, they will continue to make whatever changes they want to benefit only them.

WTF? That's ridiculous.
