eBay - forced to change rules
 

so few days ago Ive received an email from ebay. And to cut long story short...

As a new ebay user you have limited selling allowance (500€ in my case). Also eBay was a buffer between buyer and you. Theyve basically held buyers money for 30 days from day of purchase OR 7 days from day you marked your package shipped. After that period they "unfreeze" the money.

BUT as Ive said few days ago I received this email that ebay had to change that rules because of some EU/Luxemburg laws and they no longer can hold your money. Ive actually sold an item 2000€< and was pleasantly surprised I got my money the day after right onto my PP account.

My question is how can PayPal then hold money for 21 days and more ? Maybe laws in european union will change in benefit to end user.

This is no change and since pp is not a bank I dont see an laws stopping them from doing this.

Unless your laws are very different then ours here.

how come this is not a change ?
