Customer wants refund item in post

Hi

I sold a loyality stamp on ebay and posted it on saturday royal mail special delivery should get to customer on tuesday. this morning i get email asking for refund did write no return on listing

This email i got

Trust me I know you haven't already sent it, you probably haven't even had it sent to you yet. If I don't get a refund as the payment was made in error, I thought it was £8 not £80. I have sent a message to eBay regarding this matter. And I've saved you as a favourite seller, if you don't give me my money back for the stamp everything you sell on here I will just buy and not pay you if you want to be funny about not refunding me.

need some advice would it go in my favour with ebaypaypal

Thanks

I don't think you are obliged to offer a refund if there is nothing wrong with the item, it was as described & detailed in the item listing & you can provide item delivery details.

That message communications from the buyer to you will do them no favours with EB/PP & will count against them in any case they may open against you.

You can also block this buyer from bidding on your other items as per their threat of malicious buying (see link below: unwelcome buying) & report this to EB.

"if you don't give me my money back for the stamp everything you sell on here I will just buy and not pay you if you want to be funny about not refunding me."

And that is against policy. Call eBay UK and talk to them about the situation. It's the buyer's fault for not carefully reviewing the item and price before paying for it. It states the price multiple times during the buying process, so they should need to keep it. You did nothing wrong in the transaction, the buyer did. The fact that you stated no returns in the listing is going to help you even more.

If they don't want to keep the item, they can sell it themselves. Doing what they said they would do to you is clearly against eBay policy.

And you now have him by the balls :pound:

Let him. He will get banned, you get your FVF and one less Ebay boob noob to have us rip our hair out about.

Ebay will also consider this extortion, so he might already be toast

Like what the above mentioned, what the buyer threatens to do is bannable. Call eBay immediately and quote what he said, let us know how it goes.

oompaloompa 06-24-2012 02:53 PM

his rant was about him knowing you did not send it - since you sent item quickly, inform him of that, and that he will get it shortly, so nothing you can do.

in the meantime pass his threats to ebay

then wait for him to start wanting a return and threathen etc pass those threats on too...

at which point you will need to decide if ebay are going to ban him or not before he starts dispute or negs you, then decide if you want to do return and refund...

plus I get bidding 80 instead of 8 - Ive done that before. But PAYING the wrong amount, that i do not believe...may be a scammer...

this another email i got from him username hes talking about a username i used on another forum there policy is that any thing for sale must have username in picture so i used same picture on ebay

here email

Hi, this has been sold to me under false pretences that these stamps can still be used, you've obviously been had with it yourself because you haven't even bothered to change to sellers username to your own so you haven't even been sent the stamp yourself. If you don't give me a full refund immediately I will fight tooth and nail to get my money back through PayPal and leave feedback reflecting this unless you give me a full refund!

BigCJ 06-24-2012 03:04 PM

Report everything to ebay.
This is obvious extortion.
Cut off all communication with him and let him rant.
Save all the conversations as proof. Write their address down to avoid further hassle.

oompaloompa 06-24-2012 03:14 PM

tell him to clam down, he cannot get a full refund immediately, as you need to follow procedure and item sent out, you need item back before you refund, and ebay would not side with him, as you are doing correct procedure

please tell me you sent with tracking?!

Well, I suppose you are lucky you have someone as silly as him of the scammer type character eh ???

His actions mean it ought to be easy to expose his malicious intentions to EB/PP.

Wise move on your part in regards to screenshot, though EB/PP will have a record of this item anyhow.
