Default New Feedback policy leading to buyers taking their sweet time

I dont know about you guys but ever since the new feedback policy has started buyers have been taking their sweet a$$ time to make payments. Before everyone made payment within 3 days and now its almost always close to the full 7 days to be able to file a dispute

Have you thought about using the "immediate payment required" option? Or are you referring to auction listings?

I can't say I've noticed, and I don't do auctions.

Well here is an interesting story. Buyer wins bid on Ebay on May 19. Pays using BUYITNOW with immediate payment required. On May 20th buyer files a non-receipt Paypal dispute and due to a Paypal glitch gets her money back on the same frigging day! Tracking number shows item was delivered yesterday and Paypal sent me an e-mail saying:

We have received your valid tracking information on the above-mentioned
case and sent a courtesy email to the buyer on your behalf. We have
requested that the buyer submit a full refund.

Please be advised that you will need to contact the buyer for further
information regarding your payment.

We value your business and regret that you have had this experience. To
avoid similar experiences in the future, please view our Seller Protection
Policy by clicking the "Legal Agreements" link located at the bottom of the
PayPal webpage.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Sincerely,
Mathew

So basically now buyer has item and my money and the buyer has not responded to e-mails. Ebay and Paypal are a license to steal!

Well according to Paypal phone Rep "BOB" if the buyer doesn't give me back my money within 72 hours Paypal can reverse it. I am not holding my breathe those. PP&e-bay are both completely crooked and I am looking into starting my own website to avoid ever having to use them again.

PayPal is exactly like the problems of Nigeria described in the video in this thread: http://www.aspkin.com/forums/everyth...-nigerian.html

It's not the rules and regulations, but the personality of whoever is in charge at the time in Nigeria and same with PayPal.

That video talked about how in Nigeria, to survive you have to bribe everyone or you can't get anything done, and even get your baby stolen from the hospitals. I read where paypal limited a diamond seller's account and the diamond seller gave paypal a free diamond and paypal then unlocked the person's account and gave them an account manager. Yes, PayPal takes bribes! For the record, I am against bribing paypal, I am just saying paypal is crooked.

Threaten them with Avenue Services Debt Collection PTY LTD.

When i get impatient for waiting for late payments from idoits i usually send them an email/message stating that i am passing on there details to the debt collection service, and if they dont reply (rarely) i will call them and say i am "john from bla bla bla " and go from there.

Usually works, however i havent had to do it for quite a while.

Alternatively prank the crap outta there house.
