Ebay Guest Checkout?

Hey guys...

I just recently noticed that ebay has a guest checkout option. Now my question is can I use this option to purchase something with a paypal account that was previously linked to a suspended ebay account??? I know that linking a "tainted" paypal account to a new ebay is tricky but I am not linking anything, so I don't know if it would matter...

Has anybody ever used this method?

Thanks in advance!!

I have used it once a few years ago. My experience was that I was only able to purchase things from "buy it now" only. It might have change today.

Yep, used it to experiment. Obviously ideal for us.

Got 2 successful sales AND 3 limits.

Mixed bag of reports.

Certainly not a do too often. Standard stealth procedures would apply. You should as yourself if it is worth the trouble? :juggle:

You're right, I might as well make a stealth account. I just haven't had time! Thanks

I know this is an old thread - just searching around before I start my own thread with a question..

PayPal Guest checkout doesn't require any PayPal account details so the original question is not really valid.

PayPal guest allows you to pay with a (non-previously limited) card without needing a registered paypal account at all although it does take your address and email address from your ebay account and add these as contact details to the seller.

I have used my PayPal-banned non-stealth details with a fresh card to make ebay purchases to be delivered to my real address for the last year with no problems...

No problems that is until this week where I discover that there are limits to guest checkout - 15 items or $4000 total spend. I hit the limits. So i need to work out how each payment is logged as being from the same guest account - linked to the card or the address or other details? Need to change something so that PayPal resets and starts up as if a new guest.

I don't see (yet) how I can buy on ebay as stealth without moving house (else items will be delivered to the wrong address!) I might be prepared to pay for an address for SELLING but not for private buying..

Does the Ebay Acct have a Paypal acct? Or can you buy stuff on Ebay without any Paypal.

Example: Ebay with your home details on it with your card only, no PayPal required?
