21 day money hold WTF?!
 

hi guys,

im selling handmade dress in germany, ppl paying me via paypal. all funds are avaible immediately. now im selling in teh us my first time and paypal showing me the payment is hold for 21 days, til items arrive. how can i avoid this and why is is different to have teh money in germany faster than us? im a new seller in us? i have selling in egrmany almost 500 items already.

Just roll with it, be good all the time and it will go away.

You do not have an established selling history outside of eBay DE, and this is causing the holds. To eBay US you are brand new to selling in the US and they do not trust you any more than any other new user selling on that site. You need to have an established selling history of at least 90 days on the given eBay site before the holds will go away.

maybe its my first item im selling in teh us. do you know how long it gonna takes?

21 Days is nothing. Once you pass the hump you will be fine. It happens to everybody.

if you selling 150 dress within 10 days averrage price is 30 usd. i think 21 days is alot of waiting time. i heard that you can submit teh tarcking code and you will have teh funds earlier?

I take it that these sales are via the EB platform ???

The 21 day payment hold is not unusual, PP do this frequently.

You CANNOT avoid it completely, but you CAN get it removed. You can do this by providing PP the tracking numbers for EACH sale in PP, & ensure you get positive feedback from as many of your buyers as possible.

As your PP A/C matures over time & after some consistent time selling history, PP will remove the limitation on their own.AVOID a high level of complaints, refunds, chargebacks, negative feedbacks etc etc


The faster payment method in Germany vs US may be due to the faster payment regulations in force in the EU as of this summer .
