You know business is going well when ..

...when you're hiring people to manage your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ eBay accounts. Yep, thanks to eBay who suspended my then one and only seller account nearly a year ago, I am now selling on 10+ accounts every day and honestly, I'm spending 16+ hours every day working on them. It got so much that I'm starting to feel the need to hire people (probably geeky students) to manage my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ eBay accounts. I just can't handle it anymore by myself. :D

aspkin 05-26-2008 04:15 PM

That's good news, take my advice and outsource while you can. I was in the same situation you're in now about 3 years ago and not sleeping sucks... get some help and relax a little. I called my helpers 'Money', because they made me tons of money. :)

Good job imjustme.

imjustme 05-26-2008 04:57 PM

I know the feeling. I built an online company when I was 17 and didn't only lose 2 years of sleep but also 2 years of my life. When you work day and night, life just flies by.

wow you have your own mini empire, does your wife help out too ?

ebayhateluv 05-26-2008 07:58 PM

( 9 kids)

greenbean - he wants geeky students not oversized sumo wrestlers lol
imjustme - goodjob, thank ebay
because they took down your one seller account you now have 10+

411guru 05-27-2008 10:13 AM

I bet its hard to find english speaking helpers in Japan. Aspkin is right. Employees do make you money, if you are big enough, even after you subtract your salary expense to them. Glad to hear you are doing good.

2eXclusiive 05-27-2008 02:14 PM

and wage over there is not alot, but how do you find people you can actually trust?

Lisa B 05-27-2008 02:51 PM

I know huh? Do you really tell them you have all those ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names?

divine422 05-27-2008 03:01 PM

I would have to agree with you as well...although im not up to 10 im sucessfully managing about 3 accounts right now and its going way better than when i had the one account ebay suspended.

imjustme 05-27-2008 05:03 PM

Of course I tell them the accounts are in ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names. Who cares? They want work, they work for me, I pay them. Nothing wrong with that. It's business.

2eXclusiive 05-27-2008 08:18 PM

but the main questions is,
how do you find smart/intelligent people you can trust to manage your accounts?
it can be a smart move or it can be a deadly move, in other words it can make you or break you
"make you" meaning make you more money
and
"break you" self-explanatory

divine422 05-28-2008 12:24 AM

I think im too paranoid to let someone else handle my accounts because if i get suspended because they didnt clear cookies or follow the IP log i would be royally pissed.

2eXclusiive 05-28-2008 12:26 AM

yea, me too
if a account goes down, id feel alot better knowing that it went down because of me and my mistake other then someone elses mistake
i think id blast and strangle that person
lol =X

jscan 05-28-2008 02:05 AM

yeah true but it must take a pretty big toll on your life, 16+ hours a day
, hiring some people or two could give you some of your spare time back.

2eXclusiive 05-28-2008 04:50 AM

yea,
don't forget to enjoy life, dont be a work-o-holic

imjustme 05-28-2008 02:25 PM

I've been a workaholic for the past 9 years. Less now than I used to. I keep telling myself 1 more year and then I'll retire. But I'm 25 :D

411guru 05-28-2008 02:36 PM

You must be in a niche market being in Japan. I know there are people in American looking for stuff available in only in Japan. Look into toys like transformers too. I made alot buying transformers up in ToysRus Japan and reselling it on ebay US. But I gotta tell ya, after I started selling digital items and automated the process, plus made more in profit than real objects, plus less time involved, I never want to sell physical items again.

Real Items=find items, storage, list, collect money, answer emails, package, ship, restock.
Digital Items=find items, list, collect money, answer emails.

exclusive, Wages in Japan are alot more than in the US. Part timers make $10 and up.

Jonas 05-28-2008 03:45 PM

Here's stuff I know is available in Japan but not in the USA:

* High definition DVD recorders that don't require a subscription and aren't super-expensive (the only one that works in the USA is a Sony one that's $800 cheapest, everything else requires a subscription)
* Used panty vending machines. They have those in Japan, I've heard. imjustme have you seen them?

411guru 05-28-2008 03:56 PM

Used panties lol. Yeah I saw those. But I wonder if its ok to sell on ebay. I was more referring to stuff like car parts, different version wiis, ps3s etc but ok! By the way, I was browsing onlineauction.com and someone was selling panties with cigarette smoke smell on them, and all of them had bids.

2eXclusiive 05-28-2008 04:29 PM

$10.00 is min. wage over there?
you got to be kidding...
