How should I respond?

* I know it looks like I am new, but trust me, I am not at all. I just prefer to read and research on my own, before asking

Some random dude messaged me today asking why I was selling XXXX items which I will from here on refer to as Gold. So I have sold a lot of this gold in the past, but ufortunatley my biggest accounts were axed months back. Now I have a few accounts developing but really only one that is mature enough to start gambling with. So far I have sold 2 pieces of gold, with both receiving 5 star feedback from my customers (dumb****s).

Today as my 3rd piece of gold was a few hours from sale, a dude who did not bid on the gold at all, asked me "Why are you selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ for the price of the real thing?"

No idea how this guy would know anything, but regardless he is on to me... Im thinking its a rival seller who may attempt to shut my ass down. So I am asking the advice of those who have dealt with this problem in the past

well i think that is why some ppl get burned.selling the stuff so cheap like 75%-50% of it's real retail price sets alarm bells ringing and ppl keeping a eye on you...
especially to a genuine retailer.

am i on the right track here.

is there anything I can do before this guy tries to screw me? Like block him of something?

I for got to mention that I never use BIN for this item, I always start an auction at .99 and it always gets bid up to much higher price. I figured it makes it look like I am just dumb and the seller got a lucky deal. This has worked for about 100 sales spread over a year with only 3 or 4 negative feedbacks and perhaps 10 returns. Its not like I'm selling an item that is normally sold at 100 for 60. Not to mention I have over 35 legit sales w/ feedback over the past few months with this particular account.

probably is a rival.

If your items are genuine, then let them run their course. Get any problems from feebay, show them your receipts and suppliers.
If ⊗⊗⊗⊗, remove them and do not sell them again.

If your past accounts are getting axed for selling the same type of gold, then it might be a sign not to sell the gold anymore.

The other sellers are probably looking to cut the competition.

Good luck

I actually have never been axed for this particular gold unless I tried to sell too many at once or too early before the account matures. The other times, I actually was doing so well with this gold, I got greedy and tried to move on to diamonds which worked for about 2 weeks, and yielded some HEFTY profits but then I guess a review caught this and I was gone just like that.

P.S this last time I got suspended on ebay, I immediatly went paypal and was actually able to get most of my money out. A few hours later my paypal went down too. Just my experience, but I do believe there is a lag between ebay and Paypal, depending on which one shuts you down.

http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyan...anagement.html

So I found this link in the wonderful world of Google:

It is described as:
"Use the following tools to manage which users can or cannot bid on, or buy, your items.
Blocked Bidder/Buyer List:

Set up a list of bidders/buyers who will no longer be able to bid on, or purchase, your listings. The list will apply to all your items. You can add or delete bidders/buyers at any time."

Anybody have any idea whether this will keep the users i add to this list to keep from viewing my items/ being able to report them?

1. Have you researched what his user name is selling?

2. Add him to your blocked bidder list to avoid potential problems.

3. I would not really communicate with him.
