So I opened a new eBay account the other day.....
 

So I opened a new eBay account the other day.....

I opened PP account first.
Added valid bank info.
Added matching credit card info.
Entered the PP 4 digit credit card code.
Opened my eBay buyer account with info that matched the PP account.

The next day:
Received the 2 PP bank deposits.
Entered them into PP.
Turned my eBay account into seller account.
Listed 1 item.
A few hours later item was removed by eBay.
This is normal for my accounts.
I then received the eBay email to call them within 48 hours.
Still no big deal.... right?

So on the 3rd day I called them.
They tried to run the ID Verification with the random questions.
The girl could NOT get the system to work from her end.
She then told me that she would just set my limits at 10/500 and to call back in 30 days to raise them.

So later that night I went back into the eBay account to list my 10 items.

SURPRISE!!!!!

My eBay account has NO limits what so ever.
No quantity limits and NO dollar limits.
The account is wide open.

For once luck fell in my direction.

Very lucky.
These days they compare the info in their system to info found on public databases and if nothing is found youre not allowed to sell on ebay anymore. They allow you to use it for buying only.

I usually just speak exotic Spanish things and they melt over the phone...true story! :D

The system eBay uses to get that information was not working on their end.
The girl could not figure out how to use their own system I guess.

Not necessarily true. If you register an new stealth account make a paypal with a Gift Card with $20 on it then spend a month or so randomly buying cheap items .25-.50 cent cards or cell phone covers from China then you register as a seller after getting a dozen or so buying feedback you will run into a problem with the selling limits being very low. But, even if you can't verify some of the information it doesn't mean you can start the account and work up to higher limits. It is all about building good standing with eBay. My advice is if you are a serious eBay stealth user have buying accounts ready to go and have already done the work getting the feedback and buying cheap items. I have notebook that I got to the local university and update. Got 3-4 buying accounts that I have worked dating back 2-4 years. Just made some new ones as well. It is always easier to be prepared so the next time I need to register as a seller I am ahead of the game.
