I need my selling limit increased. Today!!!

I am so mad.

I opened my first eBay account on July 1st. Two days later, sold 4 items to a customer (registered eBay just to buy them, I guess they didn't know what a feedback means to sellers) and so I received no feedback

Yesterday I sold another item to someone and it shipped yesterday

Barely 2 sales of $170 on the first month and still I lost (cause I offered free shipping and very low prices)

I spent so much time setting up my store and I got a selling limit of a merely 10 items

I have spent a whole week building a CSV file with 300 listings of a complete product line that is ready to upload. All items come from a multi million dollar manufacturer who is also a drop shipper. This is NOT a scam

I didn't know how to put it to the right words when I called eBay about 3 weeks ago to increase my limit and the only thing they said was that I'm only 2 weeks old and that I need some 10 positive feedbacks and wait a couple more months so they can only consider whether to raise my limit or not

I CANNOT SELL WITH WITH A SELLING LIMIT OF 10 ITEMS

My items are barely getting viewed

I just want to cry

Please help

This is going to happen, because to ebay you- and this account- ARE new.
Would you trust someone you've only known two weeks with a diamond ring? Probably not. Would you trust them with a chocolate bar? Probably. Same thing: ebay are trying to get a feel of you and work out how safe or risky you are as a new member, before deeming you worthy enough to raise your selling limits.

You're not alone though: there are loads of recent threads on selling limits that I'd advise looking through. You won't get your selling limit increased instantly though as desired, which is the reason many people have more than one account so that they're able to spread their sales.

there are ways to DO THAT discussed in this forum but you have to search it my friend

I don't think Ebay is right for you. I would find something else to make money with, real job or longer work hours, another real job.

Your account is barely over 1 month old and your already complaining about the low selling limits and that people are only buying from you cuz your prices are low. You can't change people's mind when it comes to felling safe.

People like to see sellers with high feedback or good ratings. Or maybe you need to change the style of your listings, maybe put more info on the specs of your item(s). Or reword it with more positive return policy or increase your return policy.

When I started on 2 different accounts selling the same item on both accounts, I was barely averaging $30 per item on both accounts. Some 6 months later and 80 feedback on 1 account and 103 on the other account. I now average little over $40 per item on these accounts. With more feedback, I'm sure I might get a few more dollars on average.

I have a feeling that Ebay is not for you in the long run.

Don't cry - make more accounts and build up credibility. If you can't handle that then...yes, eB may not be for you.
