Australian eBay alternative Oztion reports 165% growth in registrations

Ever since eBay Australia has enforced the paypal + COD rule, eBay Australia's rival oztion has gained 165% growth in registrations, with a 22% growth in listings as well.

full report here: Payment News and Industry Social Networking - 2008 - eBay rival OZtion reports 22% growth in listings

As well as this Oztion has also been offered a take over deal by Australian company Jumbuck entertainment.

Who here from Australia has fled eBay or joined Oztion since news of eBays plans?

Hows your business going?, this was touched on once we first heard the news of ebay oz's plans but have you ditched ebay for a more friendly alternative yet? or are you hanging on to ebay?

I have both Oztion and ebay account. I am selling in Oztion and it is really good, but sale is slow and price much lower than ebay. I prefer oztion because it does not remove your VERO item as ebay does to me :D .

Oztion is only available to AU/NZ residents.
and yeah Oztion is very good compared to ebay when listing VERO items, practically 0% chance of a takedown. Pricewise, its still profitable, just not as much as ebay. run both at the same time and you'll still make more $

Not only do they have expensive fees but there is no more buyers on that site compared with any other non ebay auction site.

depends what your selling, my items go alright. the fee's arnt that bad, considering theres no fee without sale, alot better then ebay
