Promote Ebay Auctions?
 

Im not sure where to put this, but I have a very large facebook following,

Am I allowed to promote my auctions on Facebook?

I have a few stealth accts, would this cause any issues?

Not sure and to be honest if you could, I wouldn't be sure its the best thing to advertise on FB. FB advertising is almost identical to PPC advertising the difference being its obviously hugely demographic targeting so the advertising it more about getting in touch with ppls like and dislikes, brand awareness and promotion is more FB scene, actual specific product advertising like specific auctions or BIN will not work in my opinion.

IMHO you need to keep your private life separate from your ecommerce life.

It's just a good idea.

It's only a matter of time until your broke Uncle Jimmy is going to look at your facebook page, then unexpectidly stop by, then see a return address on a box from your supplier, then put 1+1+1 together and end up being your biggest competitor.

I've made a bunch of money from selling stuff online over the last several years and even some of my best friends don't know what I do for a living.

Post is over 1 year old but ...FB is still popular so, guess relevance.

I agree on keeping personal life and business life SE-PA-RATE - if anything goes wrong, it can come back and hurt you in 2 ways

Hey Mornings Everyone,

Has anyone talked with ebay about promoted listings? I'm curious to try that out? They take between 1 & 20 % you choose though. A lady from ebay called me about it, but I told here "Im selling $____ items and you guys want to TAKE MORE!! WTF! Any suggestions comments concerns or words of wisdom would be helpful I have so much stuff that needs to go also will they promote LOTS
