Can a TextPlus phone number be traced?
 

FYI: TextPlus numbers are in the exact same format as real ones, with area codes and everything, however they are connected via Wi-Fi not a cellular connection.

I'm wondering if it can be "traced" by authorities? I'm assuming unless it was for some extreme or dangerous crime, then nothing would really be done, right? It always gets me paranoid when someone says they'll contact the police with your phone #. Even though for this situation, I know that my wife hasn't done anything wrong.

Thoughts?

ANYTHING is traceable if a situation demands it be done.
