Same Name different address?
 

hi all,

just going over the stealth guide and have access to another address - small unit. this is the thing.

i know the sticker company had an ebay account for there before-

If i reg a new ebay account under my name - would this be ok? i think they will ask for ID if the other account was closed/ match's same address.

i had a banned account about 8 years ago.

so to sum up:

unit address- there was an ebay account there before
i reg a new account with my name

would this be ok?

ebay can be nasty about this.

Not that it is not allowed to move in & become a new tenant. But ebay might be reactive

Well the only one is Chuck Norris. I think it should work. But as GreenBean said ebay sometimes is nasty.

Change the address a bit to be safe.

even if its a different name & totally new ebay account , just dont want to go to the bother of it all and last 1/2days.

what would happen for talks sake, you move into a new house but the address was listed as a banned user? surely they would have to accept this or are they(ebay) total idiots

It is going to depend on how this stealth account is created.

Now you say using your own name? What other info are you using, the same DOB?

If the reply is affirmative, picture this scenario....

Mr Chas Brown born 1st August 1988 makes a (new) ebay account for commerical premises
Unit 66
66 Mockingbird Way,
Cardiff
NSTD 12345
WALES.

All that info goes into the system

Ding ding ding!!! there exists a previous account for the above person.

Ding ding ding!!! there was a suspended business ebay account at this address.

Conclusion: we will suspend this user & get them to prove their ID:deadhorse:

Get it now, i could change the name slightly IE Mark / Marc , David / Dave , Tom /Tommy / Thomas ?

However the DOB would be the same. i think on the last account i had to verify the ID so sent an old passport copy however its been updated so the numbers would be different.

to be honest on the account i lost years ago i dont even think i put my real DOB on it,


Or different person totally for the new ebay acc/ IE missus? i want to set a few accounts up so i dont have '' every thing in one basket''


I have the stealth book here , but it just isnt sinking in sorry for the stupid Q's read it 5 times now!

I prefer the questions B4 a new account gets made. that way if there are errors, they can be amended.

Dont fuss about reading the book 5 times... that's a positive sign you are trying to succeed.

Name variation is good. (Very good).

Using the missus is OK-ish. Try to avoid the passport as DLs are better.
