Checking gmail - need to change IP?

I've been curious about this...

If I check my stealth gmail account, do I need to make sure my IP is changed and I'm on my stealth username on the computer? Or does it not matter, just as long as I'm not replying to ebay messages? I wouldn't think it would matter whatsoever, just trying to be extra cautious :)

No, you do not.
Gmail automatically blocks beacons and cookies when you set up your account.

You would have to manually change the settings to allow them to set trackers onto your different account names.

That's why gmail is very highly recommended for stealth.

Gmail will not show the IP

Gmail is the best way to go when dealing with stealth. It will NEVER allow your accounts to get linked that way you will not have to worry about changing IP addresses.

It is good practise to change IP when checking your mail so that you do not mix all your accounts up.

Its like you mike check your gmail on one user act and then log into ebay on another user account......No problem there but you might forget to change your IP when logging into another account.

I always change my IP when logging into another user account:typing:

Yeah that true what crafty1 have said, sometimes you may risk logging into the ebay account that does not belong to the gmail account you are checking if you understand what I mean, I'll also say always change your IP when you switch you computer user account.

Still prefer logging into eb to answer e-mail

thanks, everyone. I was just curious about checking the email, not even responding (just to see if items sold without logging in, or to see what payments I've received without logging in to ebay of pp). This makes my life a lot easier. I've been changing mac address and ip address and resetting router every time I want to check gmail. lol safety first!

Always go safety first.

New IP everytime you log in another User Acct

You may want to consider having your emails pushed to you smart phone. I have 30 different gmail accounts all pushing emails to my iPhone. You get instant notification whether it be a payment received, message etc. Sure as heck beats logging into multiple user account just to check your emails.

So in light of the above, i have the above already set up on my android and have the gmail app also on the android, how safe is it to reply to emails through the gmail app to customer questions etc,? i don't mean clicking the link in the actual e bay message but using the reply function of the actual gmail app (the reply arrow). Can this cause a link if you are replying to customer emails for different e bay users ids which obviously all have different emails attached to each account (gmail accounts) but you are still using the same smart phone hope this makes sense

It's not a gmail app, it's the "mailboxes" on my iPhone they all push to one spot.

edit: OGE beat me to my reply, while I was chatting on the phone.

Same I was just given a first gen Iphone. I use my wireless internet just to get updates from GMail so I know what is going on with all my stealth accounts.
