How to avoid Chargbacks when selling Internationally? USPS Signature Confirmation?
 

Hello,
Well I'm thinking about selling high value products, which I can not afford losses/chargebacks from International scammers.
I would like to know how to protect myself? USPS Signature Confirmation is enough? I want to require ONLY the customer himself to sign for the packages, not any agents or someone but the buyer, so they can't claim item has not received afterwards.
How much does this service costs in the post office? (In the US, not Isr)

11.9 What is “Proof of Delivery”?

Online documentation from a postal company that includes all of the following:

a. A status of “delivered” (or equivalent) and the date of delivery.
b. The recipient’s address, showing at least the city/county or postcode (or international equivalent).
c. Signature Confirmation for transactions that total 150 GBP or more (see Foreign Currency amounts).

11.10 What are examples of items/transactions/cases that are not eligible for PayPal seller protection?

If I have a proof of delivery where it shows the Name of the buyer has signed for the item, but he does a chargeback, I will still loose my money to him?

To be straight up about your statement - Chargebacks have to do with cc provide of buyer...there is really NOTHING you can do if a customer "chargebacks" - pp us unlikely to help you much.

Confirmation with signature is good to show pp that package was received though in case of dispute.

I have sold MANY high end international shipments. One time someone tried a chargeback. I ONLY ship with priority or express international and both of those must be signed for. I won the chargeback because it showed as delivered. In general I have had many nice international dealings but you must be very good at customer service to difuse a situation before it starts

Also, Look at your transaction with the person and look for 'SELLER PROTECTION' Usually in green. TAKE A SCREENCAP OF THIS ENTIRE PAGE!

this way, if the buyer tries to do a charge back, ebay and pp will be forced to eat the loss since you have provided both the tracking/conformation as well as proof that you are protected.

It has been know to have the seller protection portion to simply vanish in time of crisis

It definitely has disappeared many times!
