>. BUYING--Address to Ship to--Different--How to handle>???
HI folks:
Several people have pm'd me on how to get around the address when the new acct maybe out of town, or when you must use your address to get returns, etc??
Well--heres what 'I do"--may/may not work for you??
1.) When Buying-- I can send the seller a form letter i use--telling them, Thanks for the great auction, I will not be home for the next few weeks- i am caring fro my elderly grandmother right now--we can either wait for me to get back, or i can pay you immediately--and i would really appreciate you sending to her home for me..
2.) When i have ALREADY used my Moms address-but Ive also ran out of local addys to get pkgs./returns... Heres what I do---
a.) Lets say my ACTUAL Street address is 55 north main street ny ny 10012
I would use a VARIATION of it like this:
Please ship to:
55 MINE street NY NY 10012-- or 55 MAINE STEET NY NY 10012--
In small towns, this works, as only 1 street that looks like this--the postman delivers it--
AND-- it stays away from MY ACTUAL ADDY that was suspended...
Main street may not have been the best example--
How about this one:
55 maple street---use 55-b MAPLEY street or 55 MAPLES street or maybe MAPPLE street, or maybe NAPLE street
**NOW-- if youre in Chicago, IL-- a variation of main street prob wont work.. but an odd named street, a variation of it--will-- GOOD LUCK !
BTW--Ive also verified a Debit card with the "variation addy" in paypal and got it to work--as the debit card , I registered myself--so all it knows is what i told it...
Just something alittle different, but not too diff that it doesnt reach you |
