Default New ebay sellers, no more limits?!

So, I just opened up a new stealth account, and I noticed one thing...NO NEW SELLER LIMITS! I put this to the test and listed well over $1500 worth of inventory. Anyone else experiencing the same??

How old is the account? I just made one and have 10/$500 limit. How is it possible for you to get unlimited?

The only hiccup was my listings removed within the first hour of opening/listing but I called cust support and they said all was good (not listing new items) and they said I was free to relist.

i personally think its a glitch

if there was a set procedure to ensure unlimited account then im not aware of it

if someone wants to prove me wrong then my inbox is waiting

2 questions - has anything been sold yet and payments made? How new is your account?

You have to wait for few sales to come in before limits are set...or you become limited.

Wish you the best - but dont celebrate just yet.

@rsot my fear as every minute passes..i'm getting my hopes up too early on. But then again, as soon as you create a sellers account, you click on all selling and there is your limit, I don't see that, never did. The account is about 3 days old, and I already sold $260 worth. Of course I've got the new seller 21 day hold on paypal, but thats about it.

be careful because selling too much too quick will just set off a flag that will ruin this wonderful account

There's no set formula for "high limit" accounts, I did though create a new account with 10 item/$1,000 which rarely happens to me also.

keep your hopes up but most likely the limits should hit after your first sale. Just like tsmt said it could be a glitch.

Well, if you have this fear,,why don't you simply TAKE IT EASY,,,

MUST you allow greed to make you push that account to suspension?

SLOW it down, and start another account ,,,thats how its done,,,,

I just created another one yesterday and it was 10/1000. All others were 10/500.
IMO, if you list BIN items quickly after account opens, you may get limited then ask to contact to confirm your identity.
However, if you just list as auction and start at 0.99, you should be fine no matter how much sold price would be.

Yes, I actually sold a few ipods buy it now, one guy bought them all... the account is like 3 days old. I don't think I have to wait...I remember seeing something along the lines of "you do not have any account limits at this time" when I clicked All Selling.

Thanks..

Greed? First of all, no one here is greedy. I have been creating what you guys call "stealth accounts" wayy before the guide was even created (I have proof) so I been around for a while.

I know not to be impulsed by "greed". I am going to act as if I do have a limit for the first month or so, when I get 10 seller feedbacks, then I'll up it a bit.

I dont believe in the whole start another account thing..its too hectic, you either need an extra pc or switch from windows account to another, make sure the mac address has been spoofed, ah! I'm good with one, if it goes under, then I'll start fresh.

I've made the stupid mistake where I signed on to 2 different accounts under the same mac and even using the others paypal account email on another, its gets too crazy... But thanks for the advice

Yes, running a bunch of accounts is a hassle and if you don't think twice before you do something.....

The whole limit thing is a gamble and i for sure have not figured out how and who and when are limits imposed, lifted, increased. Some of my accounts are still very low on limits, others that haven't had many sales are higher in numbers and volume.

It doesn't seem to matter how old the account is , either. Sure, a fresh account has usually the 10/500 or 1000 limits but i have also accounts that are over 6 month old and still have the same limits.

Calling in usually results in an increase to a max. of $ 3500 - that's the highest amount a CSR MAY allow you - if the survey of the account fulfills the requirements outlined in the CRS's guidelines for such a request. What are these guidelines ?

Who the hell knows....

i think this is what matters...you have to list something that is high in vol ..but what good is a 1000.00 limit if you can only sell 10 items?

What I mean is, the mac address on your router which in turn changes your IP...they can only see your ip and cookies and probably flash objects as well..you can never be too sure.
