Default Unpaid bidder strike

I bought an item but have to wait until I get paid this week to pay for it (auction ended last thursday).

He opened an unpaid bidder case but then relisted the item and it sold yesterday.

I emailed him to cancel the transaction, if he doesn't and i pay that will be interesting.

if i do not pay ill get a strike.

Does a strike impact an account significantly like would it lead to a potential link to suspended accounts?

You get a account suspended for unpaid claims, you would to have a lot more than 1 to get it suspended.

Too many strikes is damaging to any account... you cant just buy stuff and not pay for it.

If anything message the seller and let them know you cant pay until x date but you will be paying for sure. they know you want the item...

If ebay decide to 'look' closely at the account links may be detected.

I have to ask you the questions below because it has really got to me since I read your opening post. I want to try to help

You are a seller on ebay I understand?

What, if anything do you do when a buyer does not pay on time?

What took over your brain that a seller was going to be prepared to wait for YOU to have the funds to pay.

Did you read the item description which should have stated time to pay?
Did you think it COOL to just do what you did?

Have you attempted any communication with the seller?

It's not the seller in the wrong. It's YOU. If you run your own accounts like you buy, just keep on making accounts.

You appear to be short on the clues of ebay from a selling & buying point of view. You simply can not muck around. ebay destroys users who do this.

Look at where you are now.... facing an unpaid item strike, the chance of accounts being reviewed & linked. Please say you used a buying only account.... but you did not , did you?

I have a buyer and seller accounts

the buyer account is where i have an unpaid case at the moment but I may have the funds to pay for the item by the time it has to be closed.

The seller relisted the item yesterday and it sold yesterday so even if I pay him ill get the money back because he doesn't have the item. I emailed him asking to cancel the transaction so I hope he does.

Yawn, who cares. If you bid on something pay for it. Stop being a deadbeat.

As both a seller and a buyer I have no love lost.

I had a buyer email me the same thing asking to cancel the transaction then declined it.

Saying they decided they where going to pay for it then never did.

As a stealth member now having to call up eBay to get a refund as a seller. I would have done the same thing.

Sigh...you should only bid when you can be sure of paying. E-mail the seller harder - sorry, but you are at fault here. Impulse purchasing when you can`t pay up is a nightmare for sellers.

You should have contacted him before you bid on his item.
You knew you would not have the funds until a certain time, yet bid anyway.
You're at fault and need to eat the strike at this point.

Also, this statement: I emailed him to cancel the transaction, if he doesn't and i pay that will be interesting.

Im assuming that you would have left him a negative feedback should you decide to pay?
With the new 'report feedback' option, I am hoping that he would have won and have your feedback removed.

Learn to contact the seller and pay for your items.

You seem to think the seller will be happy with a 27% markup and that somehow justifies your actions. It doesn't.

He may not think 27% is enough to cover the hassle of dealing with someone who doesn't pay.

I've just started doing a few auctions on a few accounts lately and the amount of people who bid and have no money "until I get paid next month" "Until my uncle gives me money" "Until my child benefit comes through" is staggering.

You get 1 more strike and you won't be able to buy from any of my accounts for a year, and many other sellers who haven't got the time to waste on timewasters.

As a seller I am always far more likely to hear someone out if they contact and communicate with me BEFORE they do something like this.

Hopefully lesson learned.....

My accounts as well. Actually you could BIN as I require immediate payment and that overrides the 2 strike buyer requirement.

So?

You were/are irresponsible by bidding when you had no funds.

Buyers like you make trouble for sellers like the rest of us here.

We have to decide what to do with silliness.

No excuse whatsoever for what you did.

Ok first its not like I have 3+ strikes and I do this all the time.
Extenuating circumstances occurred and I cannot pay for the item.

Second my issue is with this account is will a strike trigger something for the computers to link/try to link accounts that I have now?

Unlikely to strike a trigger to other accounts IF YOU are operating via stealth. Only this account should be affected.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You made no such defending comments until you started to dislike hearing the truth.

If the account gets no manual review, you should be OK. If anything else happens, then there is the chance of being linked.

Why don't you make sure you have funds in your account b4 bidding, It really annoys me when a buyer wins an item then e-mails me saying that they don't get paid until a certain day.....its not fair
