eBay Stealth - Bank Information?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering how stealth bank accounts work? What type of information do you have to provide? Your real name? I'd like to get paid through money deposits on eBay or Paypal, and both need a Bank account. What should I do?You don't wanna mess up with the banks...

Please help!!

You have to Open your Bank Accounts with your REAL information. There are several Post on which Bank Accounts will work with UK Paypal.

Which posts for example? I can't find any that talk about this specifically.

I was just reading around the forum, and I read payPal will hold your money for 180 days until you can withdraw? Is there a way to prevent this, so you can get your money sooner?

halifax coop and natwest all work great for stealth

stay away from lloyds

paypal only hold money for 180 days when the account is suspended

a new account will usually be subject to 21 day holds on payments before you can withdraw

you can speed this up by getting feedback and/or proof of item delivery

you need to use your real account and sort code but the name you add the bank account in has to match the name on the PP account

can you still send money to other users through PayPalwithin the 180 days period?

Thank you theyscrewedmetoo.

No, they money is stuck within the account during that time; the point of the 180 day ransom is supposed to be so that PayPal aren't out of pocket if a buyer makes a chargeback on their credit card used to fund the PayPal payment. If they allowed you to send the money elsewhere then they would of course be shooting themselves in the foot... you cannot do anything at all with the money for 180 days. This is why we all work so hard to avoid it.

What are my options on bank accounts for Non- residents in the UK?

Ok... but the 180 days wait is only or suspended members, right?
I'm a new member on Paypal, not a suspender member :)
do the rules apply the same for new users?

The 180 day is only if Paypal decides to Limit the Account Permanently. As Elijah explained, The 180 day hold is Paypal's way of making sure that the buyers don't do chargebacks.

Laughing my facking arse off.

Don't worry about that. PayPal has no qualms with adding recently registered users to that special "sweetheart" group either. You won't miss out on the PayPal love that the rest of us are all so very sick of just because you are new.

On a more serious note, the fact that you just opened your account means nothing. People have been limited right after receiving their first payment. It is only if they decide to limit you that you will have to wait 180 days. As long as you don't get limited you don't need to worry about it. So try to operate your account as best you can and avoid limitations.
