Why was I asked to confirm with a PIN # so late?

I've been using this Stealth eBay account for a week now. It's under 30 days old. I've already listed several things, bid on several things, etc...Then all of a sudden today it decides to ask me to confirm my location or something by wanting to send a PIN to my telephone or e-mail if I answer my secret question.

I buy my accounts, so if anything, it would make sense that I get this notice the first day of logging into it on my IP after getting it from my seller. Not 1 week later :S. By the way, I use a VPS so it's not like the IP changed or anything, since it's static :S

It's the way the ebay ball bounces....

It's changeable for every account what ebay does or does not do to confirm ID. Sense is never part of ebay's methods.

With the holidays coming so soon, ebay will be imposing more constraints on accounts.

Big plus you had a phone number and can sort the issue.

Now keep on selling

Instead of the phone call, I chose to answer the security question & get it sent to my e-mail, but hopefully it doesn't make a difference. I was just worried that they suddenly asked me this because my IP changed or I logged in with a different account by accident (which the way I set things up, would be nearly impossible for me to do) but it doesn't look like I did that, so hopefully I'm fine :)

Getting daily reports where ebay is changing the manner of ID verification for (new) accounts.

Now, more than ever, accounts need to be correct in their creation.
