Stealth account question
 

Hi,
I had a suspended account from years ago, when I tried to create an account 6 months ago, I was shut down when I posted something for sale.


I've created a new account with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, etc. so far so good. Last night one of my buyers wanted return something and said the return was going out tomorrow. I tired to message him with an address for returns. Don't think I caught him. I went ahead and gave him a full refund I won't get the item back.

?'s
1) when Im creating a shipping label with eBay, if I change my address to my real address for the check out, will eBay catch it?
2) with a stealth account, how do when I hit the $20,000 200 sale threshold for reporting?

Anyone? Help appreciated!

Well

Your still on ebay's site when you put in the address, so they do have it on file.

When you hit the threshold, you have to put in the ssn or ein.

Get an ein through legalzoom.

Hi,what I do, is use ups, I create the labels myself,then add tracking in PayPal.,papal then automatically transmits to eBay.
Inside the box, I send an invoice,with the REAL address ( my moms house).
So, all returns go to her house.
She calls me when she gets a pkg. I simply ask her for some info,
And then i refund.
Now,knowing buyers can be real sob's, besides giving a refund, I also ship a brand new item,for free.
My margins allow this,and it almost always gets me primo feedback.
I rationalize,
Is 20 bucks worth getting shut down by eBay?
Of course not.

Thanks lisa. Does using ebays shipping( what I'm using now) help with credibility with eBay. I.e. tracking is uplaided fast and they can monitor the shipping?

Yes eb catches a lot with their systems in place. Get a new address - not hard to do.
