upgrading to windows 8
 

Hi, i'm wanting to upgrade my pc to windows 8. my question is how will this work for my ebay accounts? currently i have 7 on this pc i'm speaking of. will this raise a red flag? They will all be deleted when i reformat my pc, so no cookies or tracking info will be left and then they will all be logged in from the same pc with windows 8 all in one day but with different usernames and ip addresses of course. has anyone upgraded there pc yet? i'm kinda scared cause i don't wanna lose any ebay names or have them flagged somehow.

I would use another/clean pc to try it out before risking a perfectly good stealth PC or laptop. Not sure which new features could possibly cause issues.

i tried it and i have 100 accounts so it would take forever

Just swap out the hard drive in the computer, install windows 8, try it out. If you like it, good, if not, I dont know what to say.

Or just add another partition on the hard drive, install OS 8, try out, blah blah blah.

^^ What a nerd, haha. Creating a new partition will be your best bet and is super easy.

Why fix something that's not broken?

I plan to stick with what I have for as long as I can .

In the mean time, we should have someone here who has more time in their lives to actually test it out for a few months and see how it goes.

I dont really See how win8 is in any Way or Form an Upgrade to 7. I Bet they are ging to shoehorn a New Directx into People Faces which is going to be 8 exclusive.

I believe the only update that Microsoft is doing to DX is to the update to DX11.1.

Just dont, No reason at all to switch to windows 8? if you want to use windows 8 just get another PC and keep your ebay PC for stealth use.

What if W8 holds the key to the ultimate ste.alth account? When something new comes out, it means it may hold something that none of the big boys like EB, PP, or AZ even know about yet.

NEW means no one knows what can happen. I know I have EXTREMELY high hopes ;), but remember that PP, EB, and AZ are the cats and we are the mice. We lead, all they can do is follow. The best thing to do is to welcome new ideas and products so we can continually increase the gap between ourselves and the dark side.

Learning and testing new stuff sucks and can be very time consuming. But, isn't that how you become a pro steal.ther in the first place? :cheer:

I tried a beta of win 8 several month ago, and it sucked because there was no START MENU.

Now you can have it again with an add-on called Start8 :

Start8 for Windows® 8 - Bringing back the Windows Start menu

Personally I will wait for the start menu to officially come back before using this OS.
